What? The Powerloader is nearly $100! I thought it was going to be in the $60 range like ED-209. Man, that's steep.
Dude, it's worth it I'm sure.
Nice job!You're welcome
YeahEE you mean? They tend to get stuff after BBTS and other places but the prices are great and CS is top notch. If you have patience (I don't but still order from them) you'll find them to be great.
When does the Weylan-Yutani Commando come out?
I think those guys are neat.
To me the head looks odd, which is why i hoped there were some more photos somewhere. The dome, the front of it, looks out of proportion to the jaws - dome looks too small.

I don't like it either. At all. Front of the dome looks too sharp as well. The curve at the bottom where the lips begin should be more rounded.
Also MAJOR horse face. I could never stand sculpts like that and this is no exception. Rest of the body looks perfect, but that mouth makes this an easy (and tragic) pass.
To be honest, I don't like any of Kyle's Big Chap sculpts. He would've been better off going with a more rounded dome shape, a head that doesn't stick so high out of the body, and most importantly -- this is the reason why so many of today's Big Chap collectibles lack accuracy -- sculpting the mouth to be closed. With relaxed lips. Not snarling, not completely open, but relaxed.
NO recent Giger Alien sculpt with an open mouth has looked accurate. Not Sideshow's, not Cinemaquette's, not NECA's. Sculpting the mouth like this...
...is what makes Medicom, Marmit, Kenner (the '79 18-inch) and Sano so damn good. Hell, even the problematic MonsterArts figure had a better-looking mug than this.
Not to be pissy, but this is really disappointing. I cannot for the life of me figure out why they have to sculpt the mouths wide open like this. Close the thing and give it those feminine, human-like lips. That's a big component of the design's elegance and it's completely missing from most collectibles from this film.
The thing is, the alien's mouth (and face, in general), looks very different depending on the expression and the prop used. Not to mention the difference in look to the original statue. So you really have to choose which look you want to accentuate.
Kyle has always sculpted his alien to look best with the mouth wide open, which pulls the tendons back in the lower jaw, which does make it look a bit awkward when closed.
I suppose it's an artistic decision of his, and it's not a deal breaker for me, even though I do appreciate the nice profile of the Medicom figure.
Could interchangeable lower jaws with solid, sculpted tendons work to achieve more than one look successfully?
Just in time for the 30th anniversary...Randy said earliest we can expect a marine with the smart gun is 2016. So there, I'm calling it, Vasquez comes out next year
