Just make it a hollow shell with spinning wheels and rotating turrets. Problem solved.

I like the dog, but its near-inability to support its own weight is irritating.

I got lucky with very tight leg joints on my movie version but even with the stand it can be a nightmare to have him stood upright. The Iso alien has the same problem and took me some time finding a decent balance. Both look pretty good once you find the right pose though.

I agree with the APC too. I think I remember reading a tweet about Playset/Vehicles costing a lot and some retailers aren’t that interested. Not sure how big it would be in comparison to say the Blade Fighter but I’d imagine more fans would be interested in the APC.

Reading the Twitter it sounds like we will see the quarter scale Warrior at Toy Fair. Looking forward to that one!

Well that's incredible news for AvP collectors. Wouldn't that need to be bigger than the Aliens version to be accurate though? I can't see NECA increasing the size.
The AVP Queen is 20 ft where the Aliens was only 14 ft.

Thought of a few more NECA one-offs from pre-millennial properties: Adam West, Burt Ward, Carrie Elwes, Michael Keaton, Danny DeVito, Christopher Reeve.

I just wonder if we'll see a revised wold predator. The first one is pretty nice, but pretty limited pose wise. I actually got the sh, figuring that it might take care of that, but God honest, I think the old Neca one looks better! Haha

I totally get why people want to get one if it comes out, but my main issue is, where do you keep the damn thing? Takes soooo much space up. I made the mistake of getting the heroclix fin fang foom, thinking it would be great to own a two foot dragon with purple shorts! Uggghhh thing is huge!
So if you can fit it, great, but I just can't handle the space! Haha
I hope Neca does it for the fans!

I can't see the second image...

EDIT: oddly enough, a thumbnail shows up in the quote...

Thx for your post.
I realy dont like the closed lips version. I think it looks like an stupid smiling ape. I get that version 3 days ago and was not realy happy with this. So i decide to cut the lips in half. Now i have an unique version... its not opened like the open lip version but much better then the ape version...check it out. :)

Series 8 is Alien 3 which I'm really looking forward to, and series 9 is rumoured to be Aliens, I wonder what we can realistically hope for from that movie?

...series 9 IS Aliens. One marine (not Hicks or Hudson) is certain, and one Alien will be in there two, though I don't know what could it be unless it's a reissue of the warrior and I have been told a rerelease is not on their plans unless it's part of an army building pack or something like that. Only other thing I can think of is... Facehuggers in tubes?

I would be down for facehuggers in tubes. Somehow I doubt it.

My dream scenerio (which wont happen as it does not contain a 'creature'):
-Vasquez
-Drake
-Ripley in leather Jacket

My Nightmare scenario:
-Generic Smartgunner
-Re-issue of battle damaged Warriors as single releases (they already re-released the genocide 2pack as single releases, after all)
*Probably with inverted color schemes this time, so the body shot Warrior is blue and head shot warrior is brown
-Hicks with Headset (basically re-issue of the 2 pack hicks, only no helmet)

Alright alright. I am force to amend my previous 'they will never' comment and tweak it...

They will never pay for the face of non-A listers make just one figure! All those names are pretty big and the characters are central to their show/film. William Hope? (who I would LOVE), not so much!

...well, they said they won't be releasing an all-human series again because it doesn't sell well, so there will be some creature thrown in there

They could do new battle-damaged Aliens I suppose. How about Aliens with limbs blown off? Whatever excuse they can come up with really to sustain the line long enough that we can get more human characters.

As for releasing a full scale APC which is just a basic shell with wheels and a moving gun turret - not sure how much interest I'd have in that. For me the primary appeal of an APC would be as a diorama for the figures - i.e with a detailed interior.

It's not ideal, but pretty sure the APC will be coming in their Cinemachines line, and you could always do some kind of forced perspective with it being toward the back of a display like it's a long way off. Probably not what you hoped for, but it's something...

...the APC and Dropship ARE coming in series 1 of Cinemachines. Not sure I would buy one in scale with the figures though. It's too big and I'm more into Ripley and Aliens. At most if buy an in-scale Space Jockey.

No, that would be useless without the lab table/apparatus that they sit on. Think Predator trophy wall boxed diorama, not single-pack release. A better option would be Sentry Guns.

I'll take generic Marines over no Marines...

...besides, how cool would this guy be?

Yes, but on the other hand, all of those (save perhaps the Elwes/Westley figure and Nintendo Batman) were subject to some sort limited release, whether as expensive QS figures or bundled with DVDs, so the cost of license relative to number of sales issue is still a factor.

A diorama piece is what I had in mind. Giving the thing a fully-detailed interior would make it a combination vehicle/playset.

Then I guess I'd want a combination vehicle/playset....which would obviously be much larger and more expensive than NECA's usual output. If I were thinking of the APC with your idea of a diorama I'd feel a need to have a wider LV-426/colony environment to display the APC within because a massive APC just sitting on a shelf....I'm not sure it'd be worth it. The APC is a bit bland visually, a brick on wheels, I feel it would need a wider context to really look good.

The sentry guns would be sweet, that was one of my favorite added scenes to the director's cut. I also agree a generic marine is better than none if say they can't get the likeness to Drake's or Vas but man do I hope for both of them as they appeared in the film. I'd definitely buy both versions of each - with and w/o their smart guns.

I always thought that if Drake had been around til the end they may have stood a chance - lol.

Couldn't find the tweet but I've asked them before about the sentry guns and they said along these lines:

"probably not, as not many people know about them as they were only in the director's cut" they've also said "No because the Marines / figures cannot actually interact with them (not User controlled)"

This was about a year and a half ago though so things might have changed - but still cannot believe the response I mean who collects these figures and hasn't seen the director's cut, and who wouldn't want them even if they are just static "accessory pieces" that sit in front of the marines - although they could easily have side to side rotation.

89 Batmobile looks great even though its just a huge piece of plastic, the APC will be the same me thinks.
