Unless they're hidden in the package it looks like Newt has none of her accessories from the SDCC figure....

If that's the case that sucks. I was really hoping the plan b release would have the accessories, or at least have the doll head and helmet.

I'm a bit torn on this. On one hand I'm happy that Newt is getting a wide release, but I don't need a second ripley in that exact outfit. I would have preferred ripley in her jacket.

This set does make sense though for people who couldn't find ripley the first time around, I know there were some who were asking for another release.

If plan B has been in the works for a while then they also had time to make a leather jacket Ripley. I understand that doing it this way is much more cost effective for them however since they only created a new head sculpt. I just personally don't need another Ripley in this outfit. I already have this Ripley in the power loader doing the final boss fight with the queen.

well I guess Newt NOT having accessories at this point is more movie accurate. She would have lost Casey, and the locator watch by the time they're in the nest.

I'm down for this two pack, that way I can keep my SDCC Newt un opened and my Rambo Ripley unopened since I had to go aftermarket to get her as I missed out first time.

This works great for me since I need one more Ripley and 1 more Newt and I will be good to go. Definitely looks like no accessories for Newt so I'm glad I did get 1 exclusive Newt and at least we get a flame effect.

I do believe this is more retailer friendly than just Newt or jacket Ripley. It's an iconic easily recognizable look for both of them from the poster alone, and since Newt isn't actually holding anything on this scene makes sense to get rid of the accessories and at the same time protecting the "value" of the SDCC exclusive. Some might not see it like this, but I think this is a win-win situation for everyone.

Actually kind of disappointed. I bought 3 f'n "tank top" Ripley's already! (one for hive, one for loader, one for mip)

Now I guess I need a 4th one to get a new Head and Newt, all for the low low price of $45 (which is what the last 2 pack cost). At least leather jacket ripley would have felt like a new figure to me (especially if IT had the new head).

That Ripley headsculp looks pretty horrendous if you ask me... Hoping it's just the pics I've seen so far. Or is it just me?

Who else remembers Randy saying that Sigourney Weaver wasn't keen on allowing an open mouth head.

Can't imagine that this sculpt was the turning point of that argument.

I think the only criticism I have - and for me this is minor - is that the Ripley headsculpt is cast in flesh-colored plastic, and Newt a painted plastic.
Just glad to have these as an option. I really hope though that we'll see a re-issue of Hicks and Hudson with the newer casting method NECA are using, especially as Vasquez will have the flesh-colored plastic headculpt. I don't know if that will happen though.

Well, no complaints about the new open-mouthed head regardless of what they said about Weaver's specification for undramatic expressions. As far as likeness, it's no better or worse than any of the others so again I don't mind.

This head makes more sense for the Powerloader fight so I'll be switching one of these new Ripleys with the one I have in the Loader right now.

I didnt get the "Rambo Ripley" when it was released, so I purchased three Kenner Ripleys for the smart guns, and to customize, One with ammo bandoliers removed, and "Rambotized" with extra flame/pulse rifles.

So I am happy about this I'll get a couple ( for extra newts ), I do like the smaller hair, and the expression is not bad. I guess I need to find some other in scale figure with a jacket for customizing.

Probably a change in factory...maybe they have headsculpts fabricated at one location, body and accessories somewhere else whereas before it was all at the same place....that would be my guess.
