I'd worry about the attached hoses if I were you guys. They seem more fragile. Don't like the one hose that just is loose hanging out..bad move Neca

Anyways..

" Let's Rock!!! "

Sorry I don't have any Neca Aliens, have to make do

Really wished they gave her a pistol. the trigger hand would be perfect for it :pfft:

They need removable armor too. Even gave her the necklace..nice touch

And what I say - because neither of those figures look of comparable quality to this, injected flesh tones on all figures or painted flesh on all figures, stop mixing both within one line:
Somebody should have told Randy, that two-packs didn't sell well because of the atrocious paintjob. Hicks looked like tanned character from a Jersey shore. No wonder nobody wants that.

They could always five her the pistol in the base of operations battle version with her in just the vest and pants like she looked towards the end of the movie, throwing in a pulse rifle and maybe a sentry gun as well.

I think also the angry faces put off a lot of people too. I still would like to track them down if I can get them at a cheaper price than 60.00 AU which is what I am looking at to pay for one set atm.

Heck, do shirtless variants with neutral faces :rotfl

Vasquez is missing her pistol and welding torch. Not complaining. Just watched a video of the Hot Toys version and those items are diffenitely there. She is a true masterpiece from Neca, though not as accurate as could have been.

Frost and Vaz look great there. But why did you crop off Ripley's head ? It was there before right ?

Ah cool. By the way, would you recommend getting the loader ? I am thinking about getting it mainly to support the idea of neca maybe doing more vehicles for the line, but its the price thats stopping me getting it really. It will cost me nearly 200 to get one.

It's still on Neca EBay for just a $100. Plus shipping. As far as worth it, it is a quality piece. It does have a few issues. A piston on the figures right foot pops loose, a common problem apparently, but just snaps back in place. Ripleys provided hands do fit the controllers, but I glued them to her forearms. Otherwise they come off and are extremely difficult to work with. Even Neca at the ComiCons, displayed it with Ripley's hands popped off. It's a figure you handle with care because of all the cables but otherwise is pretty sturdy.
With the hands glued on, her and loaders arms work in unison with one another, though a bit stiff. I never intend to remover her from the power loader that's why gluing the hands aren't an issue.

I would highly recommend getting it but at that price I'm not sure. It's a very nice piece, my only complaint is the netting used on top on the operator cage but people have shown how to customize that to make it look perfect. Hope you can find a deal and get one at a decent price.

I'm not sure she had a torch. In the movie her pistol was hidden in a holster under the smartgun armor.

She did not have a torch. At least not one that she actually wore around and carried as her 'own'. In one scene she did use a torch, but it was likely Hudson's. The one on his belt disappeared around that time and he was too busy with the tracker to also weld the door shut so it makes perfect sense Vaz just used his.

As A-Dev stated, Hot Toys is the very last place you should be comparing anything to regarding accuracy. Look no further than the 227 page thread devoted to fixing Hot Toys errors.

However, regarding pure accuracy in the NECA figure, it could be argued:
-Wrong boots. Photo evidence has suggested they were actually French ranger boots. The top buckle is visible under the 'bloused' pants legs in some publicity shots. Whether or not they were 'ranger boots', they were 100% all leather and NOT jungle boots like the men wore.
-The lower abdomen is a little...simplified. There was a lot of duct tape and extra padding going on with that lower portion of the load bearing vest. Neca cleaned it up and turned the bulk into 'pouches'. I guess that does look better than a duct tape wrapped mess...

Ideally I'd like the version of each character from each of the 2 main battles - Sub Level 03 and Ops. So far it's a decidedly mixed bag.

Shame her armor isn't removable.

'intentionally removable' you mean. :wink1:

If it was glued on instead of molded on, it means it can come off! I expect some amount of filling to be necessary, but I will have a final ops battle Vaz by the end of next week come hell or high water.

(and my custom drake will have a smartgun, although I doubt ill be done with him any time soon)

I'm looking forward to seeing both, please post pics when you're done:)
