I asked around Entertainment Earth customer service and Neca are apparently reissuing alien queen figure next month so no, not going out of business..

Feeling a bit underwhelmed this Alien Day too. To be fair to NECA though, they've delivered us a fantastic collection over the years.

On Alien Day news, saw this and smiled:



The "Emergency lighting Xenomorph". Genius? Surprised NECA hadn't though of that for a repaint. Also, for stylised figures, the likenesses are pretty good. Again, I feel like everyone's doing Ripley better than NECA, which feels the weakest likeness of the lot now. Very doll like.

Also, Eaglemoss continue to impress with their Ripley likenesses:



They never turn out this good in production, but I bet they could be repainted to look pretty good. Also hoping NECA's Ripley 8 comes with a basketball, although I'd imagine they'll go with the black leather costume she wears in the second half of the movie, so it wouldn't really fit strictly.

I never read every post but I’m pretty sure they really didn’t . There’s a ton of rumors but it’s got to be from shipping world wide in bulk to toys r us to smaller sells. It has to been why , even my local comic shop is passing rumors . One guy said license issues. Hahah on a ultimate alien too funny

I find them to be alittle insulting as a company, they should have no problem talking to the fans . Granted they did make some dreams come true but damn why so secretive. Super delayed series and they slowed down on there production of new stuff for sure

Neca has imo delivered quality stuff since the 80s. They're not Hot Toys, but the scene would be a lot less without them.

NECA is done. TRU’s closure just delt a major blow to them. No way does online sales and FYE sales come close to their TRU sales.

What you all obviously are unaware of is that NECA has been around since the late 1880s. I still have my replica Rosebud sled mint-in-shed.
