I got everything through eBay at exorbitant prices... It was sold out at walmart.com
I think I forgot to upload these pics after my short review of Brett and Parker...

This man is my new hero:

If only we could get paint apps that were close to that...
hmm, for me it is the other way around - that wonderful repaint attracts all attention, so strange face is not so visible anymore.Beautiful work. Sadly it only emphasizes that we still need a proper Giger head.
I haven't posted here in AGES, but have been recently updating my NECA Aliens and Predators and was excited when I was able to get this guy into a swimming poseView attachment 508620
So NECA's wave 3 of Alien's 40th Anniversary arrived here...
First off, the alien itself.
It's pretty much the same as the Ultimate, with only very minor changes.
1. The hip articulation is the new ball joint-type, which is much better! Still, amazingly, one leg is slightly longer than the other... It's really not as noticeable as with previous aliens - barely noticeable, actually - but it still is the case.
2. The torso joint/post is shorter than the Ultimate figure, probably the same as the earlier 35th Anniversary figure. So, again, much better! I didn't like the elongated torso of the Ultimate figure...
3. The dome is slightly foggy. Unfortunately, the front is still quite blacked out, which is a bit of a bummer, I was hoping for a cleaner, more translucent look at the from of the dome.
Of note, I got a perfect figure! I haven't found a single QC issue on it. Of course the joints were fairly stuck, but a bit of heat loosened them up. So I'm going to sell the Ultimate one and keep this.
Now, on to Ash.
Brilliant figure! Not quite as strong as Brett and Parker though.
The paint apps are not as clean and, as a matter of fact, the paint itself has a different feel to it. It feels somewhat rough, textured, not smooth and a bit glossy like it is on Brett and Parker. The paint on the face is also different, it looks painted on, like the older figures and not "printed" on like on the newer ones. I'm thinking the likeness suffers a bit from it as well, because he looks as if he were wearing make up. I wonder if I got a bootleg...
I'm not terribly bothered though, for such a small scale the figure looks great next to Brett and Parker. The accessories are all great, but I think they should have included a tray for the facehugger.
And finally, Kane.
Not much to say about this one...
The sculpt is good, the paint apps are great, only slightly different from the earlier version. Otherwise, everything is the same. John Hurt's sculpt is recognisable, that's all one has to know about this one.
So overall I'm pretty happy with the lot. Having Ash, Parker, Brett and Ripley in their Nostromo jumpsuits is amazing, and I think NECA are slowly inching towards the perfect alien figure. Maybe for the 50th anniversary!
My Neca Aliens experience has always been limited. They nearly hooked me a few times but QC issues warned me off. I have a Ripley and a Xeno and decided to sell them, but of course, I broke the Xeno's leg clean off posing it for pictures. Neca have delivered some truly amazing things that I thought I'd never see, but they are so hit-or-miss.
