Reworked my Vasquez. Repainted her, added the teardrop tat, plus gave her a wire microphone. I also removed her undershirt to leave the sculpted tank top underneath, and have her armor vest removable. Used some tape for her arm bands, plus to re-make her belt (also now removable) and cover her pouches.

Her Smart Rifle also got repainted, and the missing 'Adios' graffiti added.

Back then I decided not to go for a full Aliens collection, so I just got Ripley, Hicks, Hudson and Bishop, but damn, Vasquez really is a nice figure... And you did a great job on her. :clap

Yeah well... it's just that having all these figures starts to become too much after a while. I even sold off all the Prometheus figures, even though they are among NECA's best, and I actually quite like the movie...

Is that the Lambert & Ripley compression suits reissue wave? I have them on order at BBTS. Not in any hurry to get them sooner. These will actually be staying in the boxes.

Yeah, that one.
Pretty useless wave, if you ask me... but since I'm a sucker for all things alien, I wanted to see how this version had turned out.

So, has anybody picked up the 4th wave of the 40th anniversary figures? I'm curious as to how the "Giger concept" alien turned out.
I was actually just coming on here to post that I saw a single sample of this one at a Target today. No sign of Lambert or Ripley. I didn't buy the 'Giger' Alien 'cause I've already got it preordered, but I did pick it up to take a gander. I thought the effect looked pretty good. Unique enough to be interesting, but not so unique as to look like it doesn't belong in a respectable ALIEN collection... whatever that means, haha. I don't know, I mean I've got more than enough variations of this + the prior Big Chap sculpt that it's tough to get excited for yet another repaint, but I can at least say that what I saw today didn't scare me into canceling my preorder. The one thing that seemed a bit off was that the tail (at least on the sample I saw) didn't receive as much paint coverage as the rest of the body, so was very translucent.

They were rereleasing every other figure from Alien that they'd previously made so it was a case of ''might aswell rerelease these too'' but yeah not an exciting wave. And I wish Lambert were appropriately smaller.

But anyway, lets get this out of the way, craving what I presume will next be a return to Aliens with movie Drake and hopefully more.
