I predict Apone is the 3rd figure revealed today.
I would love that!

I would love it too but I think that the last figure is supposed to be a xeno right ? And anyway, apparently the actor who plays Apone is notorious for not giving his likeness rights away to anyone.

So was SW. Now look where we are. [emoji3]
Drake would make it the greatest wave of figures since Heroes Series 3 from Mezco. Too bad that got axed.
I received my Cinemachines yesturday, WOW these are crappy!
The details are soft on all of them. It's not just the diecast that looks under detailed, but the cheap soft plastic too.
By far the worst machine of them all is the most anticipated, the Cheyenne Dropship. Some of the details are not sculpted in and many parts are wrongly shaped. The upper part of the engine inlets at the top of the ship for example are supposed to be more angular, here they're sculpted very round. The upper tail wings at the back of the ship are supposed to jut straight up at an angle, instead here they're sculpted curving downward. The front headlights are sculpted asymmetrically and very oversized. A lot of these mistakes are pretty obvious just looking at stills from the movie. I think the worst part is many of the parts are glued in crooked and the soft plastic they used warped when cooling leaving those parts of the ship looking like a giant Micromachine. The cockpit area of my ship for example is warped and wavy in shape. They did use much sturdier hard plastic for the landing gear though.
The paint is also pretty terrible. I have a few fingerprints visible all about. The white paint on the missiles is globbed on haphazardly. The canopy is painted on off-center and the headlights are painted too prominently. They should've used clear plastic for the canopy and headlights and detailed the cockpit for this price.
Also of note is the landing gear is permanently deployed and can not retract or be removed for a in flight pose, and to deploy the APC, you press in the left smaller front headlight.
The diecast parts on the Cheyenne are the rear lower back wings and the engine pods, and the main central body of the ship from the lower rear to around the plastic box for the APC to the front headlight housings.
The APC looks alright but once again under detailed. Most of the APC is diecast with the turrets, wheels, ladder, and lower body including the wheel wells made of plastic. The left and right side wheels spin together connected to a shared axle, there's no rubber tread, these are all plastic. The front and back turrets can spin around and the rear turret can slide to stow in the back albeit not in a very smooth manner. The guns cannot elevate at all. Also, the ladder in the back of my APC is glued in crooked.
The paint weathering is done unevenly and haphazardly but doesn't look too terrible. Only the driver's side wheels on my APC have a dirty paint wash, the wheels on the other side are much cleaner. I feel for the price the door should've slid open and had the inside of the vehicle detailed. This feels like a giant Hot Wheels car but not nearly as disappointing as the Dropship.
When you compare these two Cinemachines with Eaglemoss's Star Trek ships, you feel with the Cinemachines you're getting a much larger model that's inaccurate, poorly designed, has some moving parts/features, have no display base, magazine, or any from of accessories, are badly assembled, and badly painted for about the same amount of money.
I'll post my thoughts on the other two Cinemachines in a bit.
True anything can happen but that example was quite a bit different. NECA didn't acquire her likeness themselves, from what I understand it was done by fox and given to multiple merchandise companies for the Alien 35th Anniversary. That was probably the only way to convince SW for her likeness as she would of been offered a lot more than single companies like NECA can afford.
The problem with Apone and other likenesses is that NECA themselves need (for example) Al Matthews to come to a fair agreement with them and that's mainly where the problem lies when it comes to talents that don't like giving away likenesses or just ask for way too much (Carl Weathers)
