Celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Aliens with three extraordinary action figure debuts! Series 9 includes the first-ever Private Vasquez and Private Frost figures with authorized likenesses, as well as an Albino Alien concept figure based on the original James Cameron screenplay.

Private Jenette Vasquez is one of the most requested action figures of all time and features the likeness of Jenette Goldstein. Her Marine gear is completely faithful to the movie, from the hand-painted mottos to the detailed headgear and shoulder lamp. Vasquez has over 30 points of articulation and comes with a smartgun with fully articulated harness, plus a blast effect that attaches to the muzzle.

Private Ricco Frost – known as “Frosty” to his fellow Marines – comes to action figure form for the first time with the likeness of actor Ricco Ross. His detailed body armor features the same personalized touches as in the movie, and he’s packed with accessories: removable helmet, ammo bag, M240 Flamethrower, and pistol that fits in a functioning holster. Pvt. Frost has over 25 points of articulation.

The Albino Alien is our first concept figure from the 1986 movie. It was inspired by the original James Cameron screenplay, which describes an albino version of the Xenomorph that has an excreting probe in place of the usual second inner mouth. The Albino Alien has over 30 points of articulation and features a bendable mouth probe and a frightening new color scheme.

All figures stand approximately 7” tall (Albino Alien is over 9” tall) and come in 30th Anniversary clamshell packaging.

Didn't particularly crave the albino Alien but I think I'll take it anyway. Great looking wave, those likenesses look pretty well nailed. Fantastic job NECA. Hopefully the production figures live up to the prototypes, at least as much as is possible.

Need pics :)

That's really unfortunate! Definitely need pics, but thanks for the review. I was very curious about these.

I might be a little harsh on these but I am disappointed.
I took some very quick and not all that great pics. I've got to go, no time.

Apparently Vasquez' head gear is not removable so if they ever do an Operations Battle version it'll have to be a new head. I do hope that happens at some point along with Ops Battle Hicks. Technically we don't have a Sub-Level 3 Battle Hudson either.

Okay, that alien is just awful. I pre-ordered the set of 3, but that thing is so going into my "Paint tester" box... :rolleyes2

Vasquez and Frost look spot on, really hope the final production figures look good. Love that Frost comes with every possible accessory he needs.
As for the albino, it's cool I like what they were going for but I'll pass.

Bring on the marines!

I do have a slight concern about the marines ability to hold their weapons accurately. If Frost has the same hands as the Sgt Windrix figure then he's going to be awkward with that flamethrower.

...the albino concept drone it's kinda lazy, since they just grabbed a regular Aliens warrior swapped out one tongue for another and changed the color scheme. A new sculpt and a smaller creature (considering the description in the script clearly says it's smaller than the warriors) would have been a lot better. But hey! I rather have an Alien that has some base on the movies themselves than some crazy Kenner tribute.

Vasquez and Frost look awesome!!!

Ok, now on to series 10. And since there are no more Xeno's, that I am aware of, I predict this wave will be:

> Drake

> Leather jacket Ripley

> Another Xeno :lol

Neca really did a great job on the marines in this wave. But the probe on that albino drone looks so... organic. Ick, no thanks. I was actually looking forward to some sort of alien warrior repaint, since I don't have the blue version and my brown broke at the waist, but I'll pass on this one. I wish they'd put out a hive set of warriors in movie-plausible colours, e.g. a 4-pack with blue, brown, black, and grey warriors.

Two last pics. These two are the best in the series. The stand for the Derelict is rubbish, the plastic post that inserts from the stand into the ship will definitely break off staying stuck in the bottom of the ship so I won't use it.

The base of the Space Jockey statue is diecast, the rest is all plastic. The Derelict is all plastic since that would put too much weight on the stand; so don't expect the machines in this series sitting on top of the "flying" stands to be much if any diecast.
