Video-game Turtle line? Well, not something I'd buy but those do look pretty cool. You'd really want the whole diorama though.

The videogame paintjobs are actually well done though - I was tempted by the T2 NES T-800, it looks really good.

Mcfarlane Walking Dead 5" figures?

The new McFarlane 7" Red Cap line. I have Rick, Michonne, Daryl and Ford on PO with BBTS.

These will be my first Walking Dead figures and will fit in nicely with the rest of my 1/10 collection.

Got a heads up on this from the Predator thread about the cloaked Scar exclusive on the NECA store site. There is also a listing for Newt and it says that she will only be available for pickup at the con. Randy keeps saying that they will make some available online but that is not what this is saying:

these have SQUARES on them.

i looked for some time at 8bit predator - it was beautiful

though in the end anime proportions of neca predators turned me away from them.
but this taxy squares paint is just too ugly.

I saw that and it worries me but Randy did tweet after that saying he would find a way and he backed that up saying he always does. I think it will be there for us some how so I'm not going to sweat it just yet. Worse case scenario I pay through the teeth for 1 copy and call it a day, best case I get 2 from Neca for less than 1 from E bay. I'm hoping the non Ebay route - lol.

From what I've read the only way they could make them is to sell at the con, they couldn't mass produce the Turtle set if they wanted to. Something to do with the Nickleodeon contract or something. They can't even sell the turtle sets online.

As for Newt I'm a little worried since Randy said they, as of yesterday do not know if Newt will be sold to non SDCC attendees or something along those lines. He did say later that he would make it work some how.

I know that a lot of people are big TMNT fans so I can see how not being able to get those new figures would be upsetting.

Personally, I still don't understand making Newt an exclusive. We begged for her for years and there was obviously a fairly big demand for the figure.

The exclusive listing on the NECA store says that they are making 3000 units for sale at $30 a pop. That's $90,000 if the run sells out, which it will.

Its hard for me to believe that NECA would not stand to make a lot more than 90K by offering the figure at retail. Unless TRU and other retailers had little interest in carrying the figure and would not commit to any large orders, which is probably what happened. And if so, that just tells me that TRU really doesn't understand the collector market.
