59.99 is not to bad , i do think that they shouldn't be played with but i do think they should be tough enough to be posed over and over.NECA is a amazing company but when a joint breaks that figure will never be the same, aka trash
There are many complains about there predators and robots(pacific rim)
 
So we're just assuming this thing is gonna be a piece of crap before it comes out?

Not at all , but i would love a review or in hand stuff before i buy it, because if i don't i am getting the hot toys version but not both.If you look through the pacific rim thread there's a few problems though
 
I dare say that they'd want to be taking more care with classic licenses.

Pacific Rim.. they wanted to rush out some toys for the film hype - whatever. :huh
 
I really hope the QC is there....considering Neca had almost a whole YEAR to work on it since the prototype was unveiled, you'd think they've worked all the bugs out.

It's already been delayed once....amazon japan has it listed as shipping this Tuesday...just 48 hours.

If there is another delay, we'll know very soon, cause amazon japan will bump the release another month.

No delay? I'll have it in hand on Wednesday. But seeing as how there's no pics anywhere or the final product, I'm thinking that's very unlikely.

Ah.. What's a QC?

I think they would have fixed any problems and stuff AND since this is a one-run only figure, I'm sure they have as much detail on it as possible. Not ALL details unfortunately but REALLY REALLY GOOD enough.

Praying there are no "Glitch's" :pray:
 
Japan could have gotten the shipment earlier since the factories are in China. Randy said on his twitter that Ed-209 should be out in December but that might be for a US release.I'm just hoping it come out very soon so I can have my Pile of Loot ship out with Keaton Batman and Ed-209
 
Amazon still has it listed as being released tomorrow.

If a toy is delayed, it's usually their policy to change the shipping date before it gets to 24 hours to go, so that's a good sign.

Either this thing is really shipping (in Japan) tomorrow, or amazon is gonna pull a **** move and wait til tomorrow to announce it's delayed.

God damn it!! No sooner did I hit enter on this message, when I went back to double check.

Amazon still lists it's delivery estimate as tomorrow.

But the release date just got bumped a month. December 26th. So yeah, don't plan on seeing this bad boy under the tree this year.

WOW... this sucks big time. like FREAKIN BIG TIME.. sigh..........

I really hadn't intended Ed-209 to be a Christmas gift but NOW we won't even get him in time! I really thought I would have had him by now but nope!!! He better be the best quality he CAN get for this amount of wait..
there was a time when I was patient.. but ever since they started delaying Him then I got more and more impatient.. and I can be a pretty patient guy.. when it comes to something I've wanted my whole life I can't help it...

I only wish time made any kind of difference. As long as NECA's still using the same overseas factories, the quality's going to be the same. For how awesome their sculpts are, it's really irritating that the quality control is so awful.

I'm not picking this up, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for those of you who are.
 
Eh. It's a toy. It's no big deal. It just sucks that this is a toy we've wanted in this scale and detail for at least 10 years since the McF Robo came along, and now we won't have it until a YEAR after it was shown at Toy Fair.

Oh well. If that's the worst thing we have to complain about, we really do live charmed lives!
