The lure for this set is Loomis. He is the lifeblood of the series in my opinion. That's why, even though DP is long gone, they always find some way to make his presence felt in each film. He carried many otherwise dreadful flicks in the genre the same way Peter Cushing and Vincent Price did. He absolutely carried Halloween 5, because it was a stink bomb without his delightful acting.

It's ok, but it's on the older retro body, so it's a bit flimsy and doesn't pose as nicely, and while the mask details are nicer than the Ultimate 2018, the hair looks a little goofy. I bought it because I love the 2018 look in the movie and it's a nice version to add to the shelf, but I'd recommend the Ultimate over the Retro.

Now I'd say the same for the '81 H2 Myers, the best thing the Retro had going for it was the better mask, and now the new ultimate 2 pack has the same mask on the nicely sculpted body.

Not really. The retro head still looks way better, IMO...

In photos the head looks way too big for the body, but in person it's not as noticeable. I saw the Strode Loomis retro 2 pack at a local target a while back but passed on it. Wasn't too impressed.

The new ultimate Loomis looks great, though. The Myers head sculpt is still a bit off, but better than the first fat head ultimate.

Yes, whether some of the sculpt was lost in the shrinking process, hard to say until getting the both.

Either way, it's a lot better than the original H2 Ultimate head.

There's a flashback scene with the 1978 Myers, so can NECA finally make the 78 Myers but from Halloween Kills? Has anyone asked Randy on twitter?

If they are allowed, chances are it will have to resemble the film, not the actual '78, so I would guess it would be the H2 body with bullet holes and all re-used with an updated headsculpt that looks like the Kills mask and actor and not Castle in the actual '78 mask.

Time will tell, if there's a way to pull it off through a loophole, NECA will do it, they love to use loopholes to get things out, and pretty sure they want to '78, just can't come to an agreement on terms to move forward with it.
