Have pre-ordered helmeted and open mouth version yesterday. Hope to see more pics with the paint app ready.

1/4 pred looks good, but the netting is indeed not accurate. I really hope this won't be the final version on it. They did it right on the prototype, but they made it wrong here. I don't understand why they chose this look.

Oh man, It would be sweeeeet if NECA could get the Star Wars license or at least make the Darth Vader that Diamond Select chickened out on making :slap. I ordered the Mask and Open Mouth Pred versions and I want them NOW :impatient::impatient::impatient: :lol

I hope it is a test netting. The netting is a square mesh... not hexagonal!

Well, let's hope someone on Twitter (hint, hint) can shoot them a comment about the netting. Other than that, it's trucking perfect!!

That is the Predator figure I have wanted for the past 23 years. Steve Wang could not have done a better job of bringing this thing to life. Sculpt looks just perfect. At only about $67 each for the set this could not be more collector friendly. Thank you and congrats to Tankman. You really did an amazing job. I have to believe you have put a huge smile on the face of Predator geeks around the world

I placed a preorder with forbiddenplanet.co.uk(not .com) once, and about a month later, money was mysteriously going from my bank account.
i lost about £200 because some robbing ____ had my bank details was buying stuff in my name.
whats worse is FP.co.uk they didnt even send me the item once it was released and didnt bother to contact me.
i did a little google search for "forbidenplanet.co.uk" and "fraud" and found some other people had very similar problems as me.
ive have stayed clear of FB ever since.
ive had no trouble with .com but dont use them any more either.

luckily i got all my money back(missing bank money and pre-order money)
and luckily i had a back up preorder with their .com website(which did actually deliver the item on release date)

you do know that forbiddenplant.co.uk has nothing to do with forbiddenplanet.com, right?

I found all the series 2 figures at TRU in N.E. Ohio on Wednesday. It looked liked they just put them out as both pegs were filled to the max. There were 3 each of Berzerker and Tracker and only 1 of Classic. None of the Tusks were broken on the Trackers.

Isn't the netting on the legs way too fine? The holes in the netting on the 7" figure are way bigger, and seem more accurate.

Other than that, it looks great, but I hope Tankman's talk about ditching the "blast marks" on the armor doesn't mean this one will not have the subtle camo paint. The 7" figure was the only Predator collectible I've owned that accurately had that, rather than just silver armor with a wash, and I was impressed by it. It would be a shame if the tiny figure was superior in that regard.

I just hope they stay away from the 'green' armor that the 7" figures had.

That was silly.

it's all the same netting, but the netting on the torso is more stretched out so the holes appear larger. The netting on the legs isn't as stretched (probably to help keep the thigh articulation) so the holes appear smaller.

it wasn't all green, just the parts that are supposed to be green. because that's what it's supposed to look like. you're probably not used to it since it's the first pred figure i know of that actually has the correct colors.

I don't have classic to know how it came out, but there is room for NECA's painters to have overdone the color scheme on the armor. While adding green is film accurrate, it doesn't mean the factory couldn't screw it up, that's the concern with doing blast marks on the 18 inch figure, accurrate or not, it's almost better to have some details left out if the factory doesn't do them right.

However, it sounds like Kyle and company are looking out for us and making whatever choices and concessions are necessary to make it the best they can get out of the factory.

Well, I had to send one Tracker and one Classic unmasked back to CSC. The Tracker had the tusks broken and I am keeping this one MISB and I want it to be perfect. The Classic came with a broken knee joint straight out of the box.

Different sections of the armor also had different colors. Brown shoulders, green thighs, silver gauntlets. It's not too noticeable for a $15 7-incher, and I'm pretty sure if all else fails, they'll at least fix the inconsistencies on the large version. Crossing fingers that all else is great, though. NECA's 18" line has always been a major improvement over the smaller counterparts and if this 1/4 P1 is the most expensive one they've done, it'll most likely look like it.
