NECA is shipping out those exclusives. Going to see if I can change those Dutch pants to something more appropriate.

Any ideas? I'm pondering the legs/feet from those Bladerunner figures, who knows if they'd work.

I have a Lone Ranger figure in the fodder box. It's got the boots and I would just need to paint the pants a khaki color. Now, it does have the holsters (which can easily be cut off) and the holster straps (which I'm not sure I want to invest the time in to sculpt them away). All this will depend on what the legs look like on the Dutch torso. The Ranger legs look thin, but I need to see it altogether.

The pants and to a greater extent the shoes on this figure bug me like no one's business, but I also don't want to spend more money on this figure than I have to. Perhaps it's the scale but I just want to "plug and play" with this figure. Which is unlike the 1/6 Elder Predator which I've been working on what seems like forever; cutting, gluing, painting, buying ****, etc.

I should get him soon, so I'll post a picture see what it looks like.

The figure overall is okay. The pants do not bug me as much as I thought they would; the shoes do. The torso is very gorilla-ish; arms do not come down. The ball joint on the Ranger legs is larger than Arnie's, so in the pics Arnie's torso is just sitting on top of the joint. Once I sand it down or force it in I think it will look fine.

Yeah, that's it. With the other Dutch figures it didn't seem so extreme. You could hide it by him using the rifle. I don't want him holding a rifle in this outfit. He looks best with his elbows bent to minimize his flaying arms, or you could turn him at an angle.

I think the blurriness of the pic washed out some harsh lines on the face. On the left side of his face his smile line is very pronounced compared to the right side. On the same side, there is also a line running from his mouth to his cheek that looks like a scar.

If you're just a peripheral fan you can skip this figure. Predator is a big fixture in my collection, so this guy wasn't an easy pass for me.

Ahhh that sucks. It seems to be a common issue now. I've got 2 or 3 figures with these unintentional 'scars'

Quick paint. Enough of an improvement to make it worth it. May need to sand down those straps, but they don't look so pronounce in person. Some touch-ups and I'm done.

Got the P1 anniversary wave on Wednesday from the NECA ebaystore. Some of the boxes were a bit crumpled and frayed. One doesn't know if that was the store itself or the Global Shipping company.

Anyway the figures are good with some nits to be picked.

Jungle Demon is great - certainly the best of these gimmick Predators they've ever done. I wish the previously released Water Emergence Predator had lived up to its potential but it didn't survive mass production as well as this has.

Unmasked Predator is good. It has the exact same paint as the recent Ultimate Jungle hunter.

I did not buy the Gort mask Predator - I imagine it's consistent with the above.

The Dutch figures are good but not without issues - wobbly legs for one thing. They also painted black eyebrows onto the Jungle Disguise Dutch which looks very silly indeed but you do only notice on close inspection. My Jungle Extraction Dutch has his eyebrows painted too high which makes him look a bit weird.

That's about it.

This thread is shockingly dead for SDCC. I guess that means interest in the arcade Predators isn't there. I was hoping for a glimpse at Wolf, or at least 1/4 AVP Predators. Or maybe even remakes of the PREDATORS Predators.

Neca's figure choices may actually be starting to back fire on them but if we keep buying up all the stuff they keep shoveling out they'll just keep doing it. Our asking for figures isn't there main focus point, its our money so if sales start dropping they may actually start hearing us. I feel like its accross all the lines i collect though, its easy money for them to spit out rehashes quickly with a new paint design or slight retooling because many of us buy up everything we can get.

Sure, i love the new Ripley and Vas because they are key looks for both figures but those, the weapons pack & Burke are all that interest me from sdcc. There's a few other minor interests but the kenner/arcade stuff is getting really old for me. From the predator line only the jungle demon had me excited and nothing from terminator has my interest but a John Connor could have solved that. The line i'm most excited for is Ash vs Evil dead. All in all its been a pretty disappointing year for me. I haven't had the excitement like in years past, i thought last year was an awesome year but this year is a big drop off.

Maybe they are spreading them selves too thin adding more lines? I know its always a good thing but other lines will suffer.
