So very very true.
As I understand it, they went with the long neck so the performers head could be hidden in the neck and then have a fully animatronic head. There's footage of this out there. Looks better than the CGI they slapped over the top of it.
Such a waste.
Waste of the animatronic work and in the end completely made the super long neck unnecessary.
The long neck that really screws up the proportions and gives the creature a stooped forward hunchback like appearance.
Little tiny head, on a long neck, on hunched shoulders. Disaster. And if they were going to CGI the head anyway, there was no need for any of it.
No need for the long neck to hide the performers head. No need for the tiny head.
And he wouldn't be so hunched if the performer didn't have that heavy animatronic head on top of his.
Or they could have just done a normal Predator head and neck to start with...
