Super Freak
But here's what's bothering me. Honestly, the MAIN reason I want the Omnia is because of Wi-Fi. According to the Verizon Store I went to the other day, I can buy an Omnia WITHOUT having to purchase an unlimited internet plan for $30 additional a month. So if I ever did use the internet on the phone, they would charge me a per minute rate plus the amount of data transferred. So essentially if I'm on campus all day, I can just use their Wi-Fi connection for free and not even have to pay for the internet usage.
The Storm doesn't have Wi-Fi capability so I'm forced to buy the unlimited internet plan if I want to use the internet at all.
Also, can you create MS Word documents on the Storm?? I heard you could only edit them and even then (like you said) you have to download the apps. And would then "clog" up the phone with a bunch of programs etc. etc.? Are the apps. free to download or do they charge you per program?
Really? I was fairly sure that after November, 2008, all smartphones sold through Verizon would require a per month data plan, regardless of wi-fi usage. If that isn't the case (and you asked your Verizon store, so I guess you'd know for sure), then that's a dealbreaker for you in the direction of the Omnia.
To answer your second question, the BlackBerry Storm comes preloaded with the "DataViz Documents to Go Standard" suite for editing Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint files from the handset. For mobile workers, this capability has become a must. You can create new documents, but you'll have to upgrade to the premium version of "Documents to Go". I'm not sure if Omnia is capable of that but I know the iPhone isn't, so +1 to blackberry I guess lol. Heck, you still can't cut/cop/paste on iPhone, which is something the Storm can right out of the box (thank the heavens).
