I just got back down the shore today to see what kind of damage the hurricane caused, the basement got over 4 ft of water in it.the washer and dryer are soaked ,the heater is not working and I have a 2 bedroom apt downstairs and all of the tennats stuff got soaked.ill have to replace there fridge, oven, most of the walls and the carpet and its got to be done fast so the tennants can come back.[there good people,I don't want to loose them]anyway I can deal with all that,I wasn't upset until I went in my storage room ,that's were I keep all my boxes.some of them got soaked.not all of them but a decent amount.is this something I can turn into insurence?will I get the full value of the figure or just the box?and will they give me the original retail price or the ebay price?

wow....the only way i see the insurance covering your losses is if you have all the original receipts....and/or....you told the insurance of the items in the storage prior to the storm....otherwise...they will fight it.....sorry about the damage done to your property....:-/

There are some threads on insurance you might like to search for. Basically it will come down to what your policy covers so you'll have to contact the insurance company you have the policy with. I know all my stuff is covered for replacement value, but it can also depend on what the water damage is caused by, ie flood is distinct from flash flood is distinct from storm etc. Good luck and sorry to hear about your circumstances.
