I'm in for that.

With Mars missions and lunar missions coming up, plenty or reasons besides more meteor strikes, comet dusting, alien 'rain', etc.

Quiet Place had a decent concept but for me the crappy cgi alien ruined it.

Brad Pitt’s Ad Astra should’ve went in that direction.

Jupiter red eye is an alien.

Ugh, Ad Astar was horrible. I was looking forward to the war on the moon. There was nothing in that movie.

What I am sick of is the lone astronaut lost somewhere whose crew has disappeared and is left going mad. Boring.

I want to see The Last of Us in space with nasty fungus terraforming humans.

After Invincible capes are now officially over.

While there's a non-zero possibility that the MCU or someone else will surprise me, at this point I'm inclined to agree.

These stories -- as entertaining as they are -- have very thin premises. There are things I would have liked to have seen which we likely won't, but even if they had been realized as I see them in my head, they're still just variations on the theme. It's been a really fun ride, though.

So a Halo horror movie lol

Yeah I’m definitely no hater of the MCU infinity saga that’s for certain that truly remains ground breaking I don’t care how much it deviated from the source material or flat cinematography.

The ironic part is that the MCU while known for flat cinematography has amazing 3-D go figure!

Pound for pound it delivered a massive amount of entertainment that ended with 3 movies (Avengers 1, IW, EG) offering a rock concert experiences…THREE TIMES!!!

Not even the first SW movie with the OT actors in 32 years could pull that off even ONCE forget 3 times!

Now lets see I really shouldn’t be so quick to write off the MCU F4 and X-Men those still have some potential to exceed expectations.

Kang lol

But them starting with Thanos really sucked all the life from Galactus, Kang, Celestials, Eternals, Doom and Phoenix so they are now having to resort to multiverse shenanigans to attract box office attention.

Jupiters Legacy lol

You made that very difficult to narrow down lol

Myers/Jason/Freddy/Leatherface/Pinhead = Zzzzzzz

Conjuring = Zzzzzzz

Zombies = Zzzzzz

I WANT MORE EXTRATERRESTRIAL TERROR but not Brometheus 2 lol

I am also burned out on Witch horror.

We need a Star Wars horror movie with a broom boy and his friends stuck on a planet with rabid carnivore yoda's

OMG the dumbest thing in Jupiter Legacy was when they
stepped out onto the moon and HUGE MASSIVE Jupiter is in the background taking up the entire screen and not one of them looked at Jupiter in awe and said holy crap and they were from 1939 never seen Jupiter before. They were like whatever we are bored lol

Superhero movies are just like any other genre. At some point it becomes repetitive and formulaic. Sure, Marvel and DC are able to go back and mine decades of storytelling from the comics, but how much of that is truly original or would translate into good movies with mass appeal? The Boys, Invincible, Jupiter's Legacy and others are all just "What If" riffs on that formula. These are escapist popcorn movies and series, nothing more. Everyone's gunning for superhero movies and waiting for the "bubble" to burst because at the moment they're the biggest game around. But then what? Horror? Sci-Fi? Rom-Coms? Musicals? Historical Dramas? YA? Monsters? Comedies? Westerns? War? There's always going to be a "next big thing," it's just a matter of what that will be and when it will emerge. That said, as long as the superhero genre is making money, entertaining the audiences, and either getting folks into the cinema or keeping them subscribed to their streaming services, it's doing its job. I'm happy to see the genre continue to thrive and provide that entertainment choice. I'll watch what I like and pass on what I don't. I was initially planning to pass on JL because I figured it was yet another riff on the superhero genre, which it was. However, there was enough to draw me in and keep me entertained. Which means my $15 Netflix subscription earned its money for the month.

Used to be $15 was targeted directly at the movie you went to see. Let's see how many good movies get made when that same $15 is targeted at an immense menu of items. Its a battle right now for domination. Services are making the best stuff they can right now, even if they have to work at a loss. When that's over, the crap will flow. AND the monthly will raise.

I've always thought a Halo movie would be huge, just curiosity factor alone. But that's more action-adventure.

Not if they make it focused on the Flood. Even the Covenant could be scary if it follows a bunch of Marines, since they just get ripped apart.

Forward Unto Dawn was almost a horror until Master Chef showed up.

The crazy part is that I binged it all the way to the end lol
