Went to walmart today and found a Iron Man/Goliath 2 pack hiding, but no luck of Captain America vs Giant Skrull. But after searching on ebay I found both sets shipped for $67. Not bad of a deal since each cost $30 a set.

after seeing the cyclops/ hulk two-pack at wal-mart, I'm starting ti get interested in these.
My question is this.
Is it too late to get into this line? are the early ones getting expensive, or will i be ok getting started so late?

If i start, Fury will be my first.

Funny, I was really interested in that pack until I saw it in the store. The paint apps are complete crap, and the quality looks so bad that I can't justify the cost.

This line had a lot of potential, but I'm not willing to accept $h!t.

i picked up vision today. he is pretty cool. the metallice paint job he has looks great. passed on both giant man/iron man and cap/skrull 2-packs though.

Wow, I love the Marvel Universe line. And for cheap little toys, the quality is top notch. Yes, they aren't perfect but if you search the pegs you can find pretty good paint apps for all the characters. It is a great line. Hasbro is doing a great job.

I haven't found it yet with that Cyclops/Hulk 2-pack. And I'm a person who collects figures in these scale (look at my avatar!), so I want to want them. Oh, well. I'm glad you are finding ones with good apps. In my opinion, these aren't half as nice in terms of paint apps/quality as the 25th Anniversary Joes were. If you have to search the pegs for decent paint apps, then there's a problem.

I must agree with karamazov80 I don't think the paint apps are that great on these figures. I had picked up Ultimate Cap and Daredevil and the face paint for the mouth and eyes where "skin" shows is pretty bad. And I looked at all of them. They're not horrible but they also are not great. As for cheap I don't know what jlprjlpr is talking about. They are as much as normal 8" figures. At least around me they are. It cost me about $8-$9 each.

Karamazov if you're looking for the Hulk/Cyclops 2-pack my walmart has tons of them. If you want it shoot me a PM.

Wow, almost a year but I will need to bump this thread. I just saw that huge 19" TRU Galactus but passed because looks like someone was trying to open the box. I may pick him up if I come across it again. He comes with a 3 3/4 Silver Surfer, I know SDCC made a exclusive in a blister card but damn in person he is huge. Anyone picked Galactus up yet?

I have Galactus. I even made a thread about him today. A great figure no doubt. Surfer is cool too but it is a b!+ch and a half trying to get him to stand up on his board in a cool pose.

Got several emails from BBTS that a lot of my preorders have arrived.

I regret paying scalper prices for Mary Jane and Mystique considering I found them both at a local hobby shop. The plus side is that in Canada MU figures have dropped in price. They are now $6.99. Before they were $9.99

and 13.99 for 2 packs, from 19.99 previously.

I was trying to get into this line but these 12" figs are just making regret all of my purchases. Was able to sell a few of my MU figs locally. I still have a few that I truly enjoy so might just keep the remaining few. I still have XMen Legends and most of the Avengers. Those are keepers.
