New Boba PF Price Point

LOL I am not the one who needs others to be convinced. Not trying to convince anyone into anything either. I been contemplating getting him. Heck, I always go against what most say. I bought the DCD 1/4 Superman, despite what other's said. hehe

He's a great piece in person, but for whatever reason he takes horrible pictures. Weird how some pieces are like that.

In any case, I just said, what is obvious, the ebay price of this item is effected because of the ABS plastic used on his body. Oh and edition size. A lot of people had complained about that. Wasn't there a huge uproar about that or did I just dream it? hehe

I absolutely want it and plan on cashing in on SS's blunder. I don't really care if it's polystone or not, but if I can get it for half of retail because of it...that's the ticket. BTW, the one on ebay would have only been 28.00 shipped to me. Guess it depends on distance. This will eventually dry up, but with that ES, it will take a loooong time.

I just gave my impression as to why the Boba Fett maybe going for so cheap right now...based on what I read on the forums. Doesn't mean I agree with it or think it's not a good piece otherwise. Heck I know if I displayed it I sure as heck wouldn't have the plastic body exposed.

As long as the exclusives dont have the bottom drop put I dont care. If it does ohh well I don't plan on selling it so it makes no difference I guess.

Yeah I didn't get into collecting these things to make money. I buy them because they are so beautiful and are pieces of art. Although the thought that if you ever get in a pickle or one day feel you don't have the same love for the piece like you have now, it's nice knowing you can get your money back on said item, if not more than what you paid. But I plan on keeping a lot of these higher end pieces.

Yeah I didn't get into collecting these things to make money. I buy them because they are so beautiful and are pieces of art. Although the thought that if you ever get in a pickle or one day feel you don't have the same love for the piece like you have now, it's nice knowing you can get your money back on said item, if not more than what you paid. But I plan on keeping a lot of these higher end pieces.

I think that in time, most of these will get above retail. A regular Vader just sold for over $400 so it's already starting to happen. It will take a while for this to climb back but from everything I've heard, everyone who has the Boba PF, loves it. Hopefully I'll be one more to that list on Monday.

That's good and all, and honestly I don't have a problem with it. It's others you need to try to convince. After all, that's why it's not well received.

Having just received my Fett yesterday I am moderately satisfied with the statue, it doesn't compare to Obi, Leia or Vader to me anyway. The armor is what it is, in my eyes it is bright plastic with painted weathering - the effect just doesn't work unfortunately.

In hindsight, I would have waited for eBay - but of course by the time the big reveal was made, I had already placed an order with a friend.

If you can find one for around $250-260 shipped (which I think could be realistic), I don't think you will be let-down.

Eitherway, it is an aesthetically pleasing piece. While it's getting a bad rep from some, doesn't detract from what is overall a nice collectible.
