Big Chief was planning on putting up 10th Doctor preorders today, but they've had to pull the product to make a change. Underground Toy's reveal yesterday was a game-changer, and the only way Big Chief can compete is by doing this:

Pssssst. Character Options makes the UT figures too. It's just a variant of the 10'' figure Character Options made for a TRU exclusive. So it's not that it's UT who are at fault here. I don't know why they bothered to release the weirdbeard variant, though.
Their 5'' line is fantastic though.

OK. I didn't know that, JonWes. Can't say I am that impressed with the original version (although that beardy beard does just about put the tin helmet on it). And it isn't as though they can't handle the larger scale. Some of their 12" figures are extremely good.

Their 12'' figures are uniformly excellent except the 10th Doctor, but those were done years ago. I think it's just very different times and they didn't have the money to do it right. That's the only reason I can think of that the 10'' version came out so poor. I remember seeing the original 10'' one and just wondering what they were thinking. The way the jacket fits makes it looks like some cheap doll you'd find in a bargain bin. Which is where the TRU exclusive ended up, apparently. It really is horrendous, and you're right the terrible beard and sad eyes just make it worse.

According to Toy Chest News the 11th Doctor figure will be arriving in stores on 10/17. I would think places like TFAW and Entertainment Earth will be shipping orders out on or around that date.

I know when other people got theirs from BCS,BBTS got their shipment maybe a month after?

Diamond Distributors now has these backordered, so their initial order must have sold out, which is good news for BC! They have been selling well for us, and we only have one preorder left in stock.
