Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

Received my replacement box and cube from Big Cheif today. So I'm happy.

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

Anybody here know of some artists who do 1:6 figure repaints? I'd like to get my Doctor's face repainted eventually.

Skiman is the best and his prices are very reasonable.

I was in Sainsbury's today and saw a great piece of Sherlock merchandise... Sherlock cluedo! It was £29.99 which is a bit too much but after Christmas when it comes down I'm going to get one. Love it, especially after the show referenced it. Maybe the BC Sherlock could come with a miniature cluedo game?

Should i buy the 11th? I like the 10th a tad more but i need my dr christmas fix.As a figure is he worth it?

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

I love mine too and I happen to have an extra figure I am parting with if interested. Great price too! :wink1:

I like Tennant a tad more myself, but I think 11 makes a nicer figure. That two piece suit is the most boring Doctor costume ever. The Smith figure is very well made, just be careful of the jacket buttons. I've got mine displayed inbetween HT Alice and the DX10 T-800, and he holds his own.

To have the figure looking at it's best, lengthen the neck by dislodging it from the balljoint and just leave it held in by the collar, and tape down his jacket with double sides sticky tape so it clings more tightly to the figure.

The figure can look far better then it does out of the box with just a little work. ;)

Agreed, but is there a particular Hot Toys neck that will work on this figure?

As in a longer neck? I may be wrong but I think all truetypes share the same standard neck length, which is about the same as the one that comes with this figure.

To semiquote Morrisey, Some are bigger than others. :lol

I prefer my Doctor with the neck popped in, but maybe that's just me. I also like the coat billowing, since it's better for dynamic poses. Run Doctor, run!

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

I hoped to see new 10th Doctor pictures :(.

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

I had a dream last night that they released the 10th and 4th Doctor and announced the 2nd. But then I woke up. :(

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

Has anyone tried head-swapping with a Hot Toys body? I tried putting the head on my TTM-19 (well, it made me laugh) and the neck socket is just too small to take the neck peg of the Hot Toys body. It can be done if you use the Big Chief neck peg but, ye gods, was it a job to get it back off again, hairdryer or no hairdryer. I also tried putting TTM-19 hands on him. They fit, but they are waaaay too big. They looked like a couple of baseball mitts. It seems as though the Big Chief body is a slightly scaled-down Hot Toys body, which is a shame for those wanting to hybrid from the expansion packs.

Re: New Doctor Who 1:6 and 1:4 from Big Chief Studios!

It's their way of ensuring that you buy their bodies for expansions etc. not too chuffed with that to be honest.
