Nice pic, I keep trying to take pics of my TARDIS with the light flashing but every time I do it just washes out everything else in the pic like it's about to go nuclear :gah:

Really excited about receiving the Ainley figure in the next couple of days, and the spare Tom Baker head is on standby for the Regeneration Davison :)

DSD,
Glad you liked the pics, the Pertwee figs with the cloak are my favorites too, if they make Linx I'd like a 2-pack with a tweaked version of the one in the box set as that's pretty much his attire from "The Time Warrior".

Got a message from Les Walker today with a pic of his repainted Amy Pond,

Amazing what a bit of Figuremaster magic on the headsculpt does for the figure as a whole :rock

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

I decided that since the head on the regeneration 4 to 5 doesn't just pop off I can hold off on it. I really want my PoF set though. Preordered from BBTS - just waiting on that and it will ship with my first doctor and TARDIS.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

I spent my entire lunch hour chopping off the head of my extra 9th Doctor, hollowing it out, and fitting it on the body of my extra McGann. It looks great (though I still need to repaint the clothes since 8 was apparently wearing black with a red cravat when he regenerated) and I'll take a pic tomorrow. I also used the spare McGann head and slapped it on a Prof. Yana body. Instant McGann variant (thanks to babyjelly for the idea). :)

Props to CO for gluing the coat down over the shirt collar, thus obscuring the crappy question marks that everyone ( including Tom & Peter ) hated,

Pete's head doesn't come off as easily as I'd hoped but a quick dunk in hot water should do the trick and the existing Tom heads should fit on fine. The Davison sculpt is entirely new as the face seems thinner than the other one which is accurate for his early episodes and the rest of the figure is everything I was hoping.

Nive pics Brendan. :rock

Here are some crappy pics from me (yes the Police box sign busted off of my custom and I haven't had the chance to glue it back on):

Paul McGann variant:

Regenerated 9th Doctor (still needs paintwork):

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

Thanks Marc, using the empty bird feeder as a cage was one of those odd moments of inspiration I have from time to time and it worked out pretty well.

Nice work on the McGann & Eccleston variants and the TARDIS lineup looks great, it looks like a Gallifreyan version of a used car lot :)

So who's (he he) going to get another regeneration Davison to swap a Tom Baker head?

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

I thought about it, but the only available Tom heads just don't resemble season 18 Tom and my OCD would just get in the way so I'll just wait for the real deal.

I was going to do it but I discovered it would require a bit more work than just swapping the heads as the neck posts are different so I didn't want to risk messing up a figure that cost twice the price of a regular one.

And as Marc says the existing Tom heads don't really work for season 18 because his hair and facial features were considerably different due to a combination of ageing and the effects of an illness he had during the filming of that series.

I'm really a 1/6 scale collector, but I can't stop myself from buying the CO TARDISes. I just ordered the First Doctor one and the Eleven one, and I already have the ones for Nine/Ten, Seven, and Four. I keep telling myself I'm doing it so I will have models I can just scale-up when I start making 1/6 ones (my ultimate plan), but really it's because the TARDIS is just that awesome.

Considering that for years getting figures and vehicles made for Doctor Who was pretty much an impossible dream, it completely makes sense! :)

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

WhoNA is charging $20 for Amy Pond. Thats as much as I paid for the series 5 Police Box. Rip off. :gah:

She's in stock right now at Big Bad Toy store for $16 along with the Ironside Dalek.

Re: New Doctor Who Figures?

Yeah, $20.00 for Amy is kinda steep. But, the 5th Doctor regeneration was the cheapest I've seen it.

$20 actually makes the figure more expensive in the US than it does here inthe UK which is probably a first :lol

Now the last round of releases are on my shelves I'm eager to see what's next. I predict,

2nd Doctor & Emperor Dalek

3rd Doctor & The Master from "Terror of the Autons" ( with Auton "baby" as a bonus extra??? )

4th Doctor & The Master from "Logopolis" ( With mini TARDIS as a bonus extra??? )

And if hell freezes over we might get something from Colin's era :)
