Love to see a Cap'n Jack! Is Martha Jones the PM? It's amazing that this line can support so many 1/6 - you'd think it was Star Wars or something...

The PM is/was Harriet Jones.

It's actually a VERY good time to be a Doctor Who fan in the UK at the moment. No more are we subject to scorn and ridicule on the streets and never in my wildest dreams, 3 years ago, could I have imagined that I could walk into TRU and see a 15 foot high Doctor Who above a literal wall of toys from the series.

It brings a fair old tear to the eye...

I'm really, really hopeful that the Hasbro rumour is true - a full line of 1/6 Doctors...Gah!!!!! It doesn't bear thinking about - I'd never have to buy another figure ever again!!!!!!!!!!!

As much as I'd like to have a full line of 1:6 Doctor Whos, I'm a little hesitant when Hasbro is involved. If it's true, I hope they're as good if not better than the Character Options figures.

Funny you say that. I got go my friends, "gotta be home to watch doctor who" and they ALWAYS go "Doctor Who? What's that?".....ARG, they are really missing a great show.

Okay, I've never heard of Dr. Who, but now you all have me curious...so I'm renting the first season from Netfix. Second season isn't available yet...

Lots of baggage with Dr. Who in the states - higher than Star Trek on the geek-ometer. I almost didn't check it out when SciFi started airing them, but I'm glad I did.

I thought they hadn't started airing the 3rd season? Is Martha Jones the Runaway Bride? (haven't seen that yet either, since the 2nd series set ends with her just appearing).

Got 2 packages today - one from WHONa and the other from Alien Entertainment - both containing 2 Dr. Who figures.

It's amazing that they can do this quality at a $20 price point. If it weren't for the crappy body underneath you'd think these were much more expensive figures.

LOVE the Clockwork Man. I didn't know that his head comes off to reveal the transparent Clockwork underneath. Very cool!

Marth jones is not the runaway bride. the runaway bride is just a standalone story that bridges the end of season/series two to the christmas invasion (the runaway bride). From what i've read, marth jones is a nurse on a hospital on the moon. BTW: the runaway bride is a great episode if you get a chance to see it. season/series three should start in april, can't wait. have to do some manuevering to get the bbc video here in the states, but well worth it.

gotta check it out, it's a great show. the older shows are good, but not in the same way the new series is. I like the new series better. enjoy !

Agreed!

The Clockwork Man is easily one of the greatest figures this year (for me anyway...) He looks SOOOOOOOO sinister when posed at a 45 degree angle but looking at you.

AWESOME!!!!

Martha Jones is a black girl, not the Runaway Bride, the actress playing her has actually already appeared in Doctor Who in the 2nd Season Closing two-parter as one of the Torchwood employees that was killed.

Looking at the Season 3 Teaser and the promo pictures she looks, to me, to be a much better fit than Rose.

I think she'll be really, really good as a companion.

Ee Gads! Sex in Dr. Who?

Yep, that's part of what I like about it - there is an implied relationship between the Doctor and Rose.

And there was some humor in the first series with the implied triangle between the Doctor, Rose and the ambisexual Captain Jack.

Yes. It was the only thing I liked about the aborted eighth Doctor. I believe he was the first Doctor to express sexual tension and share an onscreen snog. If his life is cannon, btw, the Doctor is half-human.
