Yea! I got to buy a couple of the Cat Nuns!
I hope we someday get a Ninth Doctor and a Rose Tyler in this series.

All from Season 3!
(I have caught every ep on YouTube so far... and that Martha's a babe!)

That Judoon guy is a hoot! He's in the season opener I believe. Wonder if they come with their helmet....

So that Judoon Captain is the same height as other characters? If he is then he'll be 1/6 scale unless Forbidden Planet got their info wrong.
Too cool!

Those look great!! So, any chance Character Options can be convinced to pick up the Classic Dr Who 12" license, now that Product Enterprise isn't using it?

Intresting how Character Options can produce a detailed figure with armor for under £20 when SSC claim to have difficulties making one for their 1/6 lines which cost so much more.

These are mass production, especially nice mass produced figures. There's a greater number of them, so the price on these are lower.

I'm still not sure if the Judoon Captain is 1/6 scale. I can't really make out the elbows which would reveal if there's ball joints there. I'll check the Who North America message board to find out more.
EDIT:
OH Yeah! It is 1/6th scale! :banana
The highly anticipated third series of Doctor Who has exploded back on to our screens and toy company Character Options is set to reveal its brand new collection of action figures and playsets as the series unravels.

Developed in partnership with BBC Worldwide, the stunningly realistic range begins with the Doctor’s new companion Martha Jones and intergalactic enforcement officers the Judoon as seen in the exciting first episode.

Fans of the show will be able to add the 5 inch and 12 inch Martha figures to their collection and recreate scenes of her transportation to the moon! Her new figure comes dressed in Martha’s trademark jeans and leather jacket.

In the first episode the heavily armed Judoon are searching for non-human threats with their specialised scanning units so even the Doctor is in danger! You can re-enact these exciting scenes with a platoon of 5 inch Judoon Troopers, led by the Judoon Captain, who is also available as a 5 and 12 inch action figure.

These great new figures will be available along with other exciting characters yet to be seen, later in the year.

These are really cool, might get the Judoon but it has an increased price i believe. Hoping for a Dalek/Human Sek soon.
Has anybody seen the space suit Doctor at Argos as a exclusive, wonder if any other store will be getting exclusives, last year there were loads:
Toy R us had the Assualt Dalek and Cyber Controller.
Woolworths had Imperial Guard Dalek.
Argos had the Cyber Leader.
I think this i all of them but i could be wrong.

Yeah, the full 1/6 series is as follows :-

10th Doctor (Brown Suit)
Cyberman
Cyber Controller (TRU excl.)
Clockwork Man
Ood
Space Suit Doctor (Argos excl.)
Cyber Leader (Argos excl.)
10th Doctor (Blue Suit)
Martha Jones
Judoon Captain
Novice Harne

I posted this review a while back on another forum ,so sorry if it's old news !
I've just managed to pick up the Argos Exclusive Doctor figure from the episode "The Satan Pit" . I say" managed" as I had to reserve the single example they were getting in stock in my local branch . Whether this is a sign of the figures exclusivity ( is that even a word?) or not, I don't know but what I do know is that it's a belter . O.k , we're not talking high-end here , but for the price ( I paid £14.99 though it's priced £17.99 in the catalogue! ) it takes some beating .
SatanPit004.jpg

The figure is the same as the previous release and as such is not too shabby , but does suffer from strangely limited elbow articulation . (It's not a difficult job to swap to a D.M.L body , though you have to be careful as the head is quite securely glued on!) . The selling point here though is obviously the "Space Suit "and this is where the figure excels . The jumpsuit , although basic in design , appears to be screen accurate and features screen printed insignia on the chest and right arm . The pouches ,straps and detailing are all executed to a high standard and the harness even features perfectly scaled "D rings" ( I think that's what they're called) .The outfit would look extremely realistic with a little weathering if you were so inclined , but the lack of such doesn't detract from the figures overall impression . The gloves and boots , which could have just been generic items, are also great pieces and wouldn't seem out of place on a much more expensive figure . And now for the helmet . Ah , that helmet . I guarantee even non-fans will hunt down this figure just for the helmet and rightly so because it is fantastic!
SatanPit003.jpg

The sculpting , build quality, painting and weathering are again excellent ,as is the attached breathing apparatus. Trust me ,this will be the basis of many S.F bashes for the foreseeable future ! Oh , the good Doctor is also equippedwith a torch (flashlight) and guess what ? This also is spot on . You know what , as I'm writing this and looking at the figure on my desk , it's hitting me just how good this figure is . Who fan or not , go and get one , I'm sure you'll find a use for the great outfit if nothing else ! :D :D :D

Another day , another Doctor Who figure review! I had intended to pick up both of the new figures from this series , but the "Clockwork Man" was not in stock in my local Argos , so it will have to wait until a later date. Fortunately , I was able to get my hands on the "Ood", the slave species from the two-parter " The Impossible Planet / The Satan Pit" .
Ood009.jpg

So far , these figures have been surprisingly good and the Ood is no exception . The outfit , consisting of a dark grey/green sleeveless jumpsuit and jacket is very well tailored and small details like the buttons and small company logo on the front of the jacket really add interest to what is essentially a very basic design . The attention to the small details shows that the manufacturer, "CHARACTER" must have had plenty of access to the props and costumes etc from the show . This is very evident in the headsculpt as this is excellent and captures the creepy "Lovecraftian" design of the character brilliantly . The quality of the sculpt is set off by a surprisingly subtle paint job and to be honest , I can't remember the last time I saw such good paint apps on a mainstream "toy figure". The body seems to be the same as The Doctors and as such is good enough . Interestingly , the dodgy elbow articulation doesn't detract from the figures appeal as it's not like you're going to display the Ood in any other pose than the one in the photos!
Ood004.jpg

To sum up , if you have the earlier figures in this collection , you'll definately want this one as the high standard is being maintained and if the same quality and attention to detail is evident in the "Clockwork Man",
that should be the best release yet . (It's interesting to note that these two figures and the "Space Suit" Doctor come from the three best episodes of the last season , which suggests that a lot of thought is put into this collection). :D :D :D

Here's the original thread with the Doctor Argos exclusive and the Ood.

They made a 9th Doctor? does anyone have pictures of the figure, what's the articulation like?
I'm still missing a Clockwork Man, 10th Doctor in suit, Cyber Controller and Leader. I better start saving to catch up before the next wave hits.

The Eccleston doc was only a walkie talkie, but I know I've seen a custom 1/6th figure made with the head sculpt. Perhaps Judoon will be an exclusive and much more expensive like the Clockwork man?

I can't remember which Dr Who site I found it on but the following 5" figures are also on their way,

10th Doctor (series 3 blue suit & wearing glasses)
Martha Jones
Judoon Captain
Judoon Trooper
Mickey Smith
Gelth Zombie
Doctor Constantine
Lilith the Carrionite
Novice Hame
Faceless Lady & The Wire TV set
Cyberman (battle damaged)
The Holix
Rose & Chip (rereleases)
Moxx Of Balhoon (rerelease)
Dalek Sec (sadly not the humanoid version)

I should think there will also be another 12" Doctor in his blue suit from the new series, though I would like to see a new headsculpt as I'm not too fond of the other one though that could be down to the paintjob. Mass produced these figures may be but they compare extremely well with many higher priced figures in the same scale especially the Judoon which if made by someone like SSC would cost upwards of $80.

I seem to remember there being a "Regeneration Set" which include 2 figures , one of which was an Eccleston Doctor , complete with leather jacket etc. The second figure was an identical body but with the David Tennant headsculpt .
