Yea I'm Not So Sure About This One. All These Remakes Just Don't Do It For Me. It Seems To Me That Almost Everyone In Hollywood Is Out Of Ideas When It Comes To Horror So They Just Recycle Old Classics.

An interesting hybrid of the first three films. I wonder if they'll try and incorporate both Jason and his mother as killers or if it'll just be him.

youre right about the hybrid. it will actually have three stages. we have the pamela voorhees massacre, then jason rises up out of the water to complete his mother's work, in vengeance of her, etc. He dons a potato sack mask with one eye hole and then finally at some point he puts on the hockey mask. Its just like you said theyre just squishing all of the first three films into this one, but I think it could work and sounds kind of cool, I definitely wouldnt mind. i thought the texas chainsaw remakes were decent. the absence of grandpa was really upsetting however, something akin to not having pamela in a f13th film.

There are some good original movies out there. Just don’t get the same kind of coverage. Honestly 90% of Hollywood from every genre are just recycled. It's nothing new really.

Where did you get the info about Pamela? I've been looking for info on if she will actually being the movie. I know on the trailer it doesn't sound like Betsy Palmer, but that could of been just done for the trailer.

Funny this thread inspired me to rent the first two and my friends and I just got done with part I. Honestly its vintage horror but it could use a facelift. The film is really simple in itself, its just among the first of its kind like halloween. I wouldn't mind seeing it redone even if Michael Bay has his name written on it.

as far as that info goes, i know its accurate because I read it in an interview or a youtube video or perhaps it was the comcast special on it, I dont quite remember but I'll look it up in the morning to confirm it for everyone if someone doesn't beat me to the punch.

I don't trust trailers anymore, especially when it comes to horror films. They hype you up by looking kick @ss...and then the movie comes out and it's a letdown. The fact that Michael Bay has his hands on it is a strike against it, IMO. And honestly, I never did like the Texas Chainsaw remake. I don't have high hopes for this one.

I myself really enjoyed the TCM remake much to my suprize but as with any remake I won't hold my breath that I'll like it untill I've finally seen the movie. Admittedly F13 looks promising but we'll just have to wait and see.

Former Star Trek:DS9 actress Nana Visitor was cast as Pamela .. there were rumors that her parts were cut, but I haven't read anything else that confirmed that.

Why is it that people feel the necessity to put long hair on the main antagonist in the remakes?! Thomas Brown Hewitt (Leatherface) had long hair beneath the mask, so did Michael Meyers in the Halloween remake and now hippy Jason Voorhees...trends...

Looks good but then again everyone thought AVP-R looked good after seeing the trailer and look how that turned out
I will save my reservations until after I see the film :monkey3

looked good. guess they have to change it for the times though. the thing that struck me was...Jason taking the running start at hacking the chick. :monkey4
takes away from the whole persona..

Jason moved much quicker before he became a zombie, which made him MUCH scarier than slow, lumbering Jason. I think it's excellent to see him move fast. If I wanted to see more of the same boring robot Jason, I'll go watch Jason Takes Manhattan.

AVP-R trailer looked like worse ^^^^ than even AVP

The only reason it awed us, was because of the fact that there was violence, and gore. We bowed before the Strauses....so did I....I personally thanked Colin for making the movie.

Hahahah! Good times....good times.
