Sounds like they have the right pieces... I just hope the animation is up to snuff and they don't cheap out on it.

I'm skeptical, but I always am where remakes and sequals are involved. To me the music in the original was as important as the animation and stories. We'll see. BTW also mentioned in that article, Charles Burns Black Hole is bloody brilliant work....don't know how it will work on film though.....I guess we'll see.

i was a huge fan of the first movie.........just the era i grew up in i suppose and i so wanted the hm 2000 to be good but it had been measured ,weighed, and found wanting. maybe 3rd time is the charm.

Anyone watch tonights South Park? A wonderous ode to Heavy Metal... and getting high on cat pee. Not to be missed :rock

SAW THE FIRST HEAVY METAL MOVIE IN THEATRE WHEN I WAS 8 OR 9 YEARS OLD....BACK THEN THE NUDITY IN IT WAS AWESOME.

I loved that even the guards that were whipping the chick were covered with ****s. :rotfl

Great parody, and the music still rocks.

Yeah, looks like they figured out they can put a huge **** w/nipple on anything (as long as its not a chick) and get it past the censors... just brilliant :lol

I'll be skeptical until I see the new movie. don't get me wrong I loved the first one. But after being soooooo disappointed in the second i have to be. The big question is will it be in traditional or cgi animation? dont get me wrong I love cgi but I still believe that there is a place for traditional animation. I have seen so much cgi crap lately and you know its put out there because of the success of movies like shrek and Cars. I just hope traitional cell animation has not seen its last days.

i absolutely loved heavy metal.......so much it inspired me to do a custom of the B-17 story.......complete with oozing glowing muck. :D
