Attempting to get involved in the conversation, I have found many members here to be condescending in their thread replies. Why is that?

The only thing I can think of is the average age must be around 16 by the maturity level displayed so far.

Can anyone prove me wrong?

I have been on the site now for a little over three months, I find that in most threads the immaturity is from the same 4-5 members ALL the time. The other vast majority are mature and pretty cool to talk to.

But yeah, as Something Sexy says (that was a mouthful), you find the ones who you need to ignore pretty quickly.

Don't be put off though, theres hundreds of good folk for every one bad apple.

The worst is when a new thread is created. They come in just to insult and complain about the threads existence rather than participate in the topic.

If someone is being rude, click the little triangular button in the lower left corner of the post and report the posts to the mods.

Sooner or later, they'll get infracted --> banned --> perma-banned. It's the best we can hope for for now.

Agreed. But it's quite annoying to see new threads being started about stuff that has already been covered. Again, the search feature isn't much of a help but peeps can always get their queries resolved in the respective threads instead of going on a nerd rage.

And if you do that too often the mods aren't going to take you seriously either. I've been here 5 years and never clicked that button and I've been down right insulted. Just consider the source, give back as good as you get, or hit the ignore button.
