Really tempted to get this AND Bumble Bee... and I'm not even a huge fan of the movies. These just look so damn cool.

I won't dare PO this though,i will wait until people have this in hand just in case of issues with it.Im not comfortable with spending that kind of money on a toy company i haven't heard of before.

Is there a link where there's a YouTube of this new Prime? Better glance than seeing a photo.

I found 2 videos of this toys at youtube. This was still the prototype then when they presented this in singapore cybertron con. I hope this will be usefull to us all who are curious about this new line calibre is putting out.

Is this worthwhile to get to those who missed the SS optimus prime maquette? What do you guys think?

I think so. Especially when you compare with the side-by-side pic blackaces posted on page 6. The two are nearly identical in appearance. However, the quality is still unknown.

I'd like to see exactly how much articulation they're talking about. It seems, from pics and videos so far, there is movement at the shoulder, elbow, and wrist.

Has anyone ever heard of FMC?

I quickly looked at their website and it appears this is their most ambitious project yet in the collectibles industry.

I hope they're workmanship reflects the prices they're asking.

Resin robot figure have been done before by a japanese company called studio halfeye, extremely high quality engineering and very expensive, this would be in that sort of group except studio halfeye figures are fully transformable.

That's good news.
Where do you stand with these Calibre offerings, Ish?

Wow this might be worth it since I can no longer spend so much on the SS optimus. It also moves, lights up and next to the SS statue looks exactly the same. Well maybe an inch shorter. It might be better than paying 3to 4k for the SS ex version.

The two giant guns & the pose is significant. The weapons for this version is underwhelming and he looks like an action figure with the chicken legs pose even if the height is the same.

Maybe at $500, but not a $1100 statue..

I might get brumblebee though just because i know sideshow will never make one :(

I am also really curious and anxious to see this new Optimus. Some1 is offering a SS Optimus for $1500, regular and brand new in box. Tough decision .

Was BumbleBee that much shorter than Optimus in movie? 14" to 20"

Thx for the link pillpopper.

if you can get the ss version for $1500 that's steal, definitely go for that. Still one of the best statues sideshow ever released.

It's the center logo of this forum for goodness sake :)
