Resin robot figure have been done before by a japanese company called studio halfeye, extremely high quality engineering and very expensive, this would be in that sort of group except studio halfeye figures are fully transformable.

I haven't seen close-up pics of the SSC version, so I can't really compare the two.

This Calibre/FMC offering has a lot of details, more than I'm use to seeing at least.

i will get the bumblebee, the optimus prime's weapons are really lame and makes it look like a hasbro figure, it needs those giant guns ss version has or more dramatic axe/sword.

I'm very impressionable when I'm drunk and reading the forums..

Anyways..I missed the SS maquette. I wouldn't have even wanted one at the time. I didn't watch all three Transformer movies until a couple weeks ago. Now I'd really like an Optimus Prime, or better yet, a Megatron!
