Even if Sideshow makes Boba, I dont think they will be able to top this one.

Judging from SS's troopers, I think the major difference between SS's Boba and the medi boba will be the material used. Medi use rubber for almost all the armor pieces. Arm, cod piece, belt, etc. I think SS would probably use harder materials similar to what they have on the troopers. And the belt most likely would have actual fabric/pleather vs medi's sculpted version.

just checked, BBTS has him for pre order again.

:exactly: I don't wanna derail the thread again, but all I'll say is I'll worry about SS's whenever they finally decide to release there's and go from there, but going by their track record on their armored figs compared to medi's, I can't help but me excited. But like I said earlier, this is now the top 1/6th Boba figure and SS has their work cut out for them. Well played Medicom, for raising the bar:clap

I got my Boba today from my LCS, he is so beautiful, just amazing. My ESB boba with his new body (I used the RAH Indy body) and now they are the same height and look just bad *** together. I have been waiting for this version of Boba for years, all that was ever produced is the ESB version.

I think the only way SS will get close to topping the medi fett is not by materials but by accessories. Most likely they'll include Han in carbonite. Or, they could even do a boba and Jango two pack. That would really excite the fanbase I think.

I think you are right on the accessories idea but IMHO its probably not Han in carbonite (they already made one) or a jango 2 pack (need to milk it as much as they can)

Most likely SS's will have 2 pair of feet, 5-7 sets of hands and 2 HS (w/ helmet and w/o helmet) similar to their clones and Gijoe figures.

Just checked, BBTS is sold out again. man this thing is going so fast.

well funny thing happened, after almost 2 years of jango being in the same pose i decided to change it to a more dramatic pose and his 2 legs just snapped off which was pretty funny, so i had an extra narrow shoulder true type and gave it a shot and got everything in place, the jumpsuit is a tight fit and can barely move which i can live with, i'll just leave him in a standing/normal pose but now his pants are too short so im basically skrewd.........well, its a good excuse as any to get me the new jetpack jango i guess. :slap

Actually, if Jango's outfit is construct the same as ESB boba you can cut the jump suit in half around chest region, (basically turn the jumpsuit into a really short shirt and a very high pants.) That will make it possible to lower the pants so its not a tight fit over a TT and the cut will be hidden by the armor vest so you will never see it after you put him back together. Not to mention it also gives the arms a bit more room to move as well.

Where you using the Medicom stock body? I've hjad nothing but problems with them (Boba took a tumble from the shelf with an arm and leg sbapping off). Waiting for the ROTJ Fett to arrive, hopefully today, and planning on replacing the body with a DML Neo Adam.

thanks, i hadnt thought of that but its a great idea. i wish i had a slim tt, all i have is a narrow shoulder one but like i said i'll just pose it standing straight.

yeah its the stock body, i had the same problem with my boba a while back, but mine didnt take a nose dive, the arm simply snapped off at the shoulder which is sadder.:lol

I've gotta say that this Boba Fett lives up to every bit of hype that it's getting. Mine arrived Tuesday and I can't stop looking at it, it's awesome! I'd post some pics but they wouldn't be anywhere near as good as the ones already here.

A slim TT will fit better for sure but I have had pretty bad experience with their knee joints. they break very easily and its very hard to locate a replacement. And at the current price these are going for its not really a good option. If you have experience with the newer medi body and is willing to take a chance on them again, you can get a replacement body easily.

pics are always appreciated...no matter the quality:1-1:

Mine did the same thing but the leg snapped a full minute before the arm broke off. I was joking with my buddy that those old Medicom bodies will just turn to pile of dust and the clothes will fall down like Obi Wan in ANH. I am really glad that Medicom has stepped up, it seems like companies that were the top dogs just simply stop making improvements and just fall behind, like Medicom. I hope this is the direction that they are going to take with all there figures, if the scale and quality remains like this Boba I can see my shelfs holding more Medicom figures.

Here are my 3 Boba's, there is the Medicom ESB and ROTJ Boba and the Marmit Boba which is still a really good figure and has held up quite nice IMO. Sorry for the crappy pics, the camera is dead.

I'm glad people are digging this figure. I'm surprised that people are surprised though, scale issues aside Medicom's SW figures, or at least their armoured ones, have always been awesome.

I miss mine, I sold them all recently. Got big bucks for some (especially the RotJ Vader), but it still hurts. Sniff. :(

Ah, the Marmit.

I had to make a choice between the Medicom ESB and the Marmit. I chose the Medicom because the in-hand figure looked better overall. The publicity photos of the Marmit were stunning, but when I saw in-hand photos I thought that there were just too many things out of proportion (the helmet, the hands, the bulk of the body in general, and the ankle spats).

I didn't have any other 1/6 figures, so I didn't care about exact scale, though I know that Jeremy Bulloch was short anyways. I have never had any regrets, though at some point I would very much like to add the Marmit to my collection.

Higher resolution posed shots of the Marmit Boba Fett would be much appreciated!
