New Jango and New Boba figs! Medicom

Anyone have any problems with the rifle bending as you put in in his hand? The part where it connects to the end seems weak just by design not a flaw. I was kinda rough with mine,(was not paying attn.) and it snapped in half had to glue it back together.

I know a few people who had the same issue with the ESB Fett . I was afraid of it happening with my ROTJ Fett so I ran hot water over the hand to soften the plastic so I was able to fit the blaster grip into the hand much easier.

Great mods Natrix!

What gauge wire did you use?

Not sure, I had it sitting around. It was slightly thinner than the white wire that was used by Medicom. The wire I used had a yellow coating that I colored black with a sharpie and then slid it inside the clear rubber housing from a security cable that gives it the texture look.

@Natrix: Does your helmet sit higher or is that just the cotton-ball-mod you added?

I didn't do anything to the helmet other than the cotton ball that I mentioned earlier. It might look higher from the front due to not having the jet pack sitting too high. I did have to take the upper armor off to mod the jet pack so that might be sitting down further as well.

Yeah he's history. Evidently rubbed too many ppl up the wrong way too many times. From what I gather he was temp banned for a period, came back for about a wk then disappeared for good....
I asked this in another thread but what the hell happened to Shai Halud? I'm guessing he met the same fate?

Just lowered the jet pack and working on glossing the visor.

What will you be using to give the visor a better shine?, i was thinking about brushing some Future on there.

That is what I used. I did have to wash the visor with soap and water otherwise it just pooled up.

I got mine today also, awesome figure. Great detail. I cant wait to do some minor modding and futzing on him. Gonna be tough for Sideshow to top him.

It's a type of polishing wax Geil, I believe it is called something else in Australia and possibly different where you live. There were some pics around somewhere and who it is made by. Hopefully some other board members can elaborate for you.

Anyways, Boba looks perfect, great job by Medicom.

Not to stir the pot. I own no starwars figures, Medi or SS. I your opinion should I jump on this figure or wait for SS version. Also scale wise does he fit with the SS figures or does he run short. Thanks for any input.

I don't have any Sideshow Star Wars but I do have their GI Joe line and they are damn near the same height.

I don't think SS can top the paint on this guy. I read that Silentsurfer is saying they are starting something new for their portraits but I don't know if that will translate to Boba.

Also if he does end up being a bit shorter, the cool thing about the proportions on this guy is that his torso is on the longer side. So if you don't mind a simple mod, an extension can be made to the ankles that will give him that little boost and still look in proportion.
