Man.. I don't buy any Medicom stuff, but if I was going to get a 1/6 Boba Fett - it'd be the Medi for sure - looks so natural in any pose, & the detail is magnificent.

Just my opinion, but I'm not impressed by the SSC one at all to be honest. It has some blatant issues that would bug the $h!t out of me if I bought one. That's what happened with the SSC Sandie Corporal I used to have; kept looking at it on my desk, & just wanted to get rid of it in the end - so I did. :lol

I tentatively suspect that SSC's Jango will underwhelm me too.. it's a good thing the Medi is also a great figure - I might end up getting one eventually.

Thanks,for the compliments guys.

Here is the post with most of the mods I did listed and a few other pictures.

Here were a few of my favorites pics I took earlier in the thread for a laugh.

:clap Awesome work Natrix. Instead of waiting and pinning my hopes on a SS RotJ, I may just follow your pattern. I'll adjust the braids and get a helmet repaint to boot. :yess:

HJL.COM is getting more in July.

Thats awesome. I guess I'll grab one from there if they're not too hard to deal with. (Not saying they would be, but I've never bought from them before)

Cool vids

Just looking at the two Medi Fetts - & now the SSC one that's about to be released, could someone please point out to me what the general cons are with the Medis?

I know that they're slightly stylized, the scale is a little smaller than standard 1/6, & there's precedent for body part breakage issues - but anything else?

As I said earlier, if I was going to get a Boba, so far one of the Medis would be my pick. They really do look like very nice figures indeed. :)

Only cons are the ones you mentioned.(scale has never bothered me though) And the body's don't have that issue anymore, that was the older KAI RAH's.

No Fett is perfect, but this is about as close as you can get. But to me, this just looks like the one to own so far not seeing many SS pics. I'm not into mods or anything like that, i like my figs to come from the company as is and not have to mess with them. Natrix has done some cool mods if you're into that sort of thing.

Gotta love these oldies but goodies.

Awesome stuff, what excellent pics - thanks Vice!! :hi5: :duff

Well.. the more pics of the Medicom Fetts that I check out, the more I'm impressed by them - they really do look like a man in a suit!! :rock

I'm up on most of the details on Boba's suit, but if I've missed something in making my choice to favour these over SSC's one - I'm not fussed.

One thing though - the Medicom Jango. I don't like the body proportions, & the way the body armour has a slender 'droopy' look to it. I guess he's more stylized than the Boba figures are, because Temuerra Morrison was a chunky guy, unlike Jeremy Bulloch. I'm holding out for SSC to hopefully do a good Jango.. if not HT is my only hope. :dunno :lol

There are no cons with the ROTJ Boba Fett.

He's not stylized. At all. He looks like a guy in a suit. If anyone diagrees, I would like to hear why.

He's no longer out of scale. Medicom has included ankle extenders for the figure. They don't make his arms look disproportionate, either. Remember, Boba Fett is short. I can't speak for ALL of Medicom's figures, but Boba Fett is now good to go, height-wise. If anyone disagrees with this, I would like to hear why.

Medicom now uses a body made from superior materials. Body breakage is no longer a problem. If anyone disagrees with this, I would like to hear why.

Thanks Rubio95 - much appreciated mate!

I'd prefer the ESB Boba, but the ROTJ one is just as nice anyway. Great to hear that the bodies have been improved too, & that the scale thing isn't that much of an issue.

Honestly - the SSC figure just doesn't cut it for me.. :dunno

Some of the other details I personally didn't like about them out:

Jetpack is glued to the back armor and is positioned too high on the back. (Both versions, fixed mine)

Shoulder armor attached on top of shoulder instead of on the vest sleeves. (Both versions, fixed mine)

Ammo belt is all molded plastic not leather. (Both versions)

Honor sash is molded onto the cod armor and not a separate fabric belt. (Both versions, placed embroidery thread over the top of them)

Cheap white wire used for hoses of of the gauntlets. (Both versions, replaced on both)

ROTJ gauntlet missing two hoses. (Made two hoses and attached them)

No sling on the blaster. (ESB)

End of the barrel of the rifles are solid not drilled out. (Most noticeable on ESB version, drilled mine out)

ESB blaster has cheap looking paint job.

Capes attached under the collar armor instead of on top of the armor. (Both versions)

ESB hip broke on it's own from being in a standing pose (replaced body)

Glossed the visors on both helmets.

After fixing these, I am pretty happy with them.

My pleasure. I couldn't be happier that it seems like my favorite figure of all time is FINALLY getting some respect.

Myself (and a select few others) have tried to tell the board since the figure was released. But old opinions are HARD for some people to see past, so this figure was blasted since before it came out, despite these pictures that you see here. Hopefully that's beginning to change. Not because of which company is better, but because figures like this come out only once in a long while, so instead of bashing it because of a manufacturer, just buy it and rejoice in one hell of a figure!

:clap Awesome post, and you have a great figure. I want one of these done exactly as you have done, then I'd get someone to repaint the helmet and I think it would stand as the pinnacle RotJ Fett. How does the height on yours do in comparison to SS clones?

Well, I replaced the body on the ESB version with a newer Medicom Massive body so he is now the same height as the ROTJ version. They come in just a tad under a SS clone. There is a picture in a little ways back in this thread with a comparison to the clones (not by me). Vice just reposed it a few posts back.
