I am looking forward to a new SCFI movie coming out in September with Bruce Willis in the lead role. It's based on a comic book. Do any of you know more about it? I got this from Wikipedia

Todd Lieberman
Max Handelman
Visual effects supervisor Mark Stetson
Written by Michael Ferris
John Brancato
Starring Bruce Willis
Radha Mitchell
Rosamund Pike
Ving Rhames

Release date September 25, 2009

Surrogates is an upcoming 2009 science fiction film based on the 2005-2006 comic book series of the same name. The film is directed by Jonathan Mostow and stars Bruce Willis. Filming took place in Boston in 2008. The Surrogates is scheduled to be released on September 25, 2009
Premise
In the near future, humans live in isolation and only interact through robotic bodies that serve as surrogates. When several surrogates are murdered, a cop (Bruce Willis) investigates the crimes through his own surrogate. The investigation forces the cop to bring his human form out of isolation and unravel a conspiracy behind the crimes.

I don't really understand the story line yet but I'm sure I will... sounds good to me. :rock

hmmmmmmm still confused. sounds like that one with that kid in it, that was in that other movie where he saw dead people, but in this one he was a child robot and he out lived everyone, until aliens came and made his fake mom come alive for a day. Know which one I mean??? :lol:rotfl

You should add Mark stetson to the list cause my best friend is marrying his daughter. Mark did the special effects on this movie and well as the LOTR series and Superman Returns. I have a picture holding his Oscar from LOTR. His Daughter Katie is the ^^^^.

I have added him
I see he was the chief model maker on Blade Runner.
He's a pretty cool father in law to have

Plot sounds interesting. I always love the noir/hard-boiled detective theme incorporated with Sci-Fi. Reminds me a bit of the Blade Runner storyline since there's bound to be those standard philosophical questions brought up like if the vicariously lived robots have emotion then how different are they from the original, etc, etc. Fun stuff, I'm looking forward to it.

Also it's interesting to think about it as an allegory for the internet. This sounds like it might be involving. I'm sick of movies like Die Hard 4 or Eagle Eye that incorporate new technology in a really cheap and gimmicky way that ends up being more for spectacle then posing interesting questions.

Oh no, now we can listen to another movie of him screaming. Is his t-shirt going to be covered in to much blood again? hmm?
