He looks a bit too shiny? Is it the lighting?
Guys, I just got around to inspecting my Ryu and his white outfit has noticeable yellowing. Anyone else have this issue? The one posted a few posts above looks like it might have the same problem. Also, why does the statue come with white gloves? for handling the statue?
Everyones Gi has that yellowing. The amount that shows up in pictures or video depends on the lighting and such. Jerry claims that it was purposely done to mimic a more worn look. It doesn't bother me and looks better in person then in photos.
It's not a QC issue if it is done on purpose.
If you train in Martial Arts you will see anyone that wears a White Gi within a short period of time it starts turning yellow from all the sweating and rolling around no matter how many times you wash it.
Jerry was trying to make it more realistic but he should have realized it could turn a lot of people off.
An option to have it stained & weathered would have been better like he did for the Judge Dredd Lawmaster.
Good thing he didn't try to make Chun Li "realistic" and put red stains on her dress from her menstrual cycle. Because if you are a woman, you would know that sometimes you clothes will get red stains.
