New sculpt started - 1/3 Giger Alien kit

Here comes the new project I am working on. The head part is 90% finished and based on movie's setting. I will go to finish the body and legs, arms and the pose will based on Markus's CG. I also want to get more ideas about the pose. Please let me know if you have , thank you so much ~~

Amazing work so far poeidonyoung! Regarding pose, I really like the straight up standing pose, only thing I'd do different is tail position, I'd position it a bit more towards back and between legs rather then aside.....other then that, perfect classic pose for the creature!

Awesome poseidon i was hanging out to see this Looking awesome so far.

Sabres i think the kit is still available. You should get it its freakin awesome I have 006. Yet to be assembled and painted yet though.

As for the pose/ stance i do like its classic pose and agree with Toni Plutonij but...... I think another pose needs to be done thats different from the standing one and the cinemaquette pose as well. Im not entirely sure what that is, maybe ask Markus if he can do some different rendered poses and post them up for people to give you there opinion??

Also, how do you intend to make the dome? Will it be transparent?

Very nice! In fact, ____ING AWESOME! Put this thing in a more dramatic pose and I might buy one. And just out of curiosity, will it be as tall as the Cinemaquette Alien?

The CM Alien (71cm) is 13cm taller than poeidonyoung's Aliens Warrior sculpt. That sculpt is virtually identical in scale to Sideshow's Aliens Warrior Maquette which is 1/4 scale. So this sculpt would have to be bigger to meet 1/3 scale measurements.
Personally I like dynamic poses and I'm not a fan of the straight up and down pose - to me it looks like how the suit would display if it was held together with rods. It doesn't look alive or scary.

Really thank you for your comments. The pose of my Alien Warrior is not fully standing. This why my Alien Warrior looks smaller that other Alien statue in 1/3 scale. But the length of whole body (from head to fee) is close to 70cm.

The setting of my Giger Alien kit will be 71cm exactly if it's in fully standing pose

Hi DSD, it's scuplted in plasticine (oil caly)

The dome have been finished (just next to the head in pics) and I will cast it into transparent.

I personally prefer to have static standing pose , because just what you said, it's classic.... But I just talk with Markus, he will render 1 or 2 new poses for this project. He will also design a new standing base. I am really so excited to heat that and can't wait to see it !!

I agree, with INFECDEAD. The Warrior is more 1/4 than 1/3rd. It's tiny compared to my CM Predator, which is 1/3rd.
It's 22" tall. Which is 2" shorter than the CM Alien and both have about the same bend at the knees.
Not trying to put down the sculpt or sculptor as they are great. Just trying to clear things up. As I was expecting something larger. Still happy with what I got and am almost ready for paint.
Just waiting on my replacement jaw.
