New sculpt started - 1/3 Giger Alien kit

Second pose is interesting, as you don't see such pose around, however, none of these poses do the piece justice, as the original, straightly standing one.
That's just my opinion

If it was 1/6 scale, I would like one of each.

I like #3 but perhaps with some slight adjustments...maybe head raised a little more as if waking from a dormant state.

You don't see many statues / model kits in the "alien ball" or curled up pose.

I like pose 1 but, have him standing upright more.
It looks like it would tip forward real easy. Plus, I'd make his tail a little more straight. Take out the corkscrew look.


Pose 2 is perfect except I'd move the arms up with has outstretched. Like he's reaching for Dallas in the duct.

Pose III is my favorite. The others just seem to have wonky arms, but I love the idea of having the curled-up look with him grabbing his tail. The slight curve at the very tip is also quite awesome. Gorgeous from all angles, unlike the first two IMO.

As a buyer of poseidonyoung's Aliens Warrior kit, I can attest to the high quality of his work. And this Giger Alien is already looking great!

For me though, I would prefer that it NOT be in the static 'suit' pose, as displayed in the Giger Museum. It's not a very 'organic' pose and doesn't really bring the creature to life. Also we've had kits in that pose before - most recently the large Marmit vinyl one.

I personally like the kneeling pose as it looks a little different and reminds me a bit of the scene when the Alien escapes from its hiding place in the shuttle. But any pose that captures some sense of movement would be great.

i like pose 1, kneeling or curling makes it look small and not as menacing as a standing upright attacking pose.

We (Markus and me) are working together for this project and now decide to this pose :

And now, I just finish it, the overall tall of it is around 24" and the body length is over 30". I think it’s very close to 1/3 scale. This kit will be very very huge (especially plus the base which Markus is working on), you can check the comparison of foot between it and my Alien Warrior kit, if you bought Alien Warrior kit before.
