Agree but the previous SSC format figure was pretty close to classic. The billy clubs were too small IMO but the rest of the costume looked really good.

Yup, and it's looking like sideshow will never see my money again. This is now 4 PFs I passed on because of terrible sideshowified costumes. Looks like Green Arrow will probably be the 5th if they screw up his lower body with pads or combat boots.

Wouldn't it be nice if SSC would announce a classic variant for all of these "modernized" PFs?

Same pose, same proportions, same portraits ....just the costume is a classic variant. And they can announce both at the same time. Just think SSC would make a killing if they provided both.

Cant you just chalk it up to "I dont like this" Instead of "This is a total waste of time".

Someone please correct me if im wrong. Didn’t they release various classic costumes already? In an alternate universe where they only release classics people would argue how ss should be more creative. But at the same time i do agree cap is a bit too much.

No. I've spent thousands of dollars and a decade supporting sideshow. Now all of a sudden I have to put up with made up sideshowified horse shyte costumes and be completely cut off of the classics? To hell with Igo and sideshow. They've taken their classic collector's for a ride and are now flat out screwing them. I have no issues with Daniel Bel. As a matter of fact, I love his work and was eagerly awaiting to finally add one of his sculpts to my collection. Igo is making certain that that's not going to happen.

It would be nice, but it's not going to happen. More belts, pouches, straps, zippers, pads, dog collars, and armor for everyone.

I've been blinded by the number of straps and knee pads I've been seeing lately.

That original DD PF was panned by just about everyone. It was sideshow's first ever 1/4 DD statue and it had a total minuscule ES of 1000 pieces. A charcater as populaer as DD released for the first time by sideshow in 1/4 scale and it only sold 1000 units? That alone should tell you how well that PF was regarded by collectors. Many collectors passed and were hoping for a revisit. This is what they got.

I also think the new Wonder Woman looks terrific. Unfortunately, that didn't carry over with Deathstroker, DD, Bats, Cap, Elektra, and a few others I probably missed.

The AD has been an ongoing problem for a while now.

Not going to lie, I really like this. Not sure why it’s getting so much hate. It’s a nice blend of classic and contemporary design, but if it’s not your thing simply look elswhere. There have been a number of DD statues done in a classic comic book design, and in my honest opinion I’m yet to see one that really does the character justice. My only nitpick with this piece is the billy-clubs being way too think/huge.
