With popcultcha bumping up prices and the value of the Aussie dollar, these statue's are not worth the cash. Simple as that. There's no way a Premium format is worth $700. Crazy talk.

They have (popcultcha) even bumped up the prices of the old Premium formats even though they would have purchased them before the price hikes and have them just sitting in storage - The Superman Premium Format is up $100 from a few months back. Terrible store that was once good. My experience as a collector as time passes gets worse. Sideshow are a joke to deal with as an international and popcultcha are overpriced. Good luck getting a response by either phone or E-mail. I had to troll their facebook page just to get someone to answer a 4 week old E-mail (that I sent twice).

This hobby is getting unsustainable. You actually get more value from custom pieces or XM studios. More bang for your buck as they say.

I bought the Superman premium format in January and it was $529.99 (less reward points). And I checked yesterday and it's exactly the same.

From what I can tell, any time Popcultcha have restocked either the Superman/Batman/Captain America its come back the same price. Unless you're talking about over 6-8 months ago (pretty much visit their site on a daily basis since) Then you might be right.

But of course the new PF's on preorder are certainly through the roof.

I am SERIOUSLY considering sculpting something like this up.

I bought that giclee two days ago :lol

I am having a hard time seeing the seam where the head goes, is it photo shopped? I assume we will have amazing shots come SDCC and will really be able to tell.

I'm passing on this PF. Hearing the J Scott sagging problems terrifies me for this pose. I wish SS could make it out of something lighter weight to avoid future sag but no one wants pvc. I can't see this being able to hold up over the years unless one has air conditioning on at all times. The weight is just too uneven. I also am not a fan of those marshmallow flames but the idea for the piece was cool.

If you look carefully at the picture below you can see a faint line for the seam

However, apparently these shots are of the proto before they changed the seam to put it inside one of the webng tracks that go around his neck.

Honestly, if you don't like the statue I can see passing, BUT if you like it I can see ways of taking the weight off that arm, and supporting the body and legs that wouldn't even be that difficult. Heck I can think of two or three right now. Now should you have to... No, but the ideas are cheap and they would work... IF you want the piece. I am going to say that I have been hearing some say that some of the leaning issues that have been reported aren't all together accurate. Apparently there have been some failing/crushed pads an few bigger PFs (Supes) that all they require is a few cushioning pads to fix them, and according to someone who has a brand new JSC Com the piece he has had for a year looks identical to the new one he just took out of the box.... So I am guess there is a degree of lean to the wall depending if you put a level on it. What I am getting at is if oh want this piece you should just get it, and I a sure you can do something to put your mind to rest.

Really like this piece but I'm completely satisfied with the JSC line. No leaning issues with any of mine. Prices are really going up on those in the aftermarket... not that I would ever sell mine lol

SS Po price for my area also have went up. I think SS raised the price for international sellers maybe

I like it Spidey, just concerned about the lean issue since so many are talking about the J Scott lean issue. Out of all the Spidey's Sideshow has done YOURS is the best one by far... the original Spidey Comm I mean.

I would imagine it comes off too
I feel like I remember it mentioned somewhere, where a regular version of a PF statue, had a seamless neck, while the EX version didn't, because of the multiple sculpts. I thought it might have been Superman, but maybe it was another PF. Or maybe I remembered wrong, & that hasn't happened before.

I only mentioned it, to see if SSC did that in the past, & in case there was a chance it might happen to the regular Spidey PF.

The regular head will HAVE TO come off in order to paint the shoulder, neck, and head. Now that isn't saying they won't secure it later, but I can't see a reason to do that.

I wasn't sure what you meant until I looked at the statue again. You have a point. Even if it's not a single cast, I wonder if that area of the regular will look better than the EX? I guess we won't know until someone get's it 'in hand'.
I know the original Captain America PF regular was like that
Maybe that was it. Cheers.
