When Han was leaning over the console in the actual movie you see a ton of his black undersuit and since this Trooper is literally supposed to *be* him I just don't see why it's such a big deal. But everybody has their own level of OCD when it comes to these things.

Maybe, but when posed like the statue you won't see these gaps on chest armor (tank-top armor) or on hands and legs.




Look how big the back armor is in this case, as well as the lack of elbow gaps

The amount of hoops and bs people make up to convince themselves of a fact is just nuts

You don't mind the armor, that's fine, but literally anyone that's not blind can see that the armor isn't small like that and in that ONE shot that probably had to be hunted down from like 20 minutes of photo you see some black because the armor is pushed. Here's some actual armor from a normal shot cause this is a normal pose. When he was sitting cross legged in the chair the armor was bent on the left side cause it was pressing against something, do you want that in there too? I'm sure there's other positions he's in where the armor looks weird. Also the simple fact that the back plate doesn't change in size. If it lifts it's just lifting, that doesn't make it tiny. It doesn't transcend physics or anything it's still a large plate.

Again if you like the armor, that's fine. But don't pretend it's close to accurate, cause it's anything but. I mean for christ sake the armor isn't even rounded at the bottom it's just flat. They literally just made **** up, Rogue One ST armor is an idealized version if they wanted to copy, and looks nothing this bastardized. There are $10 toys with armor that's more accurate then this.

I like the armour on my original pf. Just wish someone could crack the limbs under the black cloth portions and repose them to something more dynamic.

How come you can find pictures of how the armor should look, yet the Sideshow sculptors cannot??? Makes no sense! I'd love to know what research they do, or where they draw their inspiration from. Do they just go by memory of more or less what it's supposed to look like. I'm a big SW fan but I'm no expert when it comes to the intricacies in armored characters costume differences across films. This Stormtrooper armor stuck out like a sore thumb the minute I saw it and was a total deal breaker for me. I hope they adequately fix it, but I'm not holding my breath.

Not only should this be a huge embarrassment to SSC but also Disney should be ashamed of this.
I know that this has been said many times, but I have a very strong suspicion that since Disney now owns everything, Marvel, Star Wars, etc, etc, on and on...
Unfortunately I believe that we will see more and more inaccuracies, artist interpretations and general liberties taken with characters that should stay accurate and true to their film / comic representation.

When this prototype design was sent to Disney for their approval this should have been noticed and rejected.
The fact that this was approved by them speaks volumes...

Unfortunately it seems that everything Disney has bought so far has been tainted and changed in negative ways.
I can't see this trend changing any time soon, and this pf is an excellent example of that.

Don't get ahead of yourself, the old PF is a lot worse and it was still approved (and they approved the old rubies garbage too, and SS' older SW statues). Neither of them give a ****, nor do really most licensors. Stuff nowadays is a lot better. Not because of disney but v0v. Be mad at SS, not Disney

I wasn't aware that the O.G Stormtrroper pf was inaccurate. What part is not correct on it?
I know a lot of collectors find the pose not to their liking, but I didn't know it was inaccurate.

Not quite. The old Stormie's PF helmet is similar to the 1/6 SSC Stormtrooper figure, so not too accurate (though a bit better than the 1/6 figure), but the new one isn't too accurate either. The armor fits the old PF way better. The other issue with the old Stormie PF is the weird pose, with the short right leg. The new PF has better pose, but the armor is simply horrendous, looking like a girl's gym tank top. Overall the old PF remains the best of the two, but neither is really accurate in the end.

The SSC 1/2 statue looks better than their new 1/4 PF. That speaks a lot about how things work at SSC ...

Not gonna buy this one :|

Unless the new one will be upgraded, not very likely to happen alas. We'll never see a really accurate Stormtrooper from Sideshow, no matter scale, because they are not known for accuracy but for "artistic interpretation", whatever they think that means. Maybe Iron Studios or other company will make a better 1/4 Stormtrooper statue some day...

That's great that you like it more than the O.G, but that does not make it more accurate because you like it more.
I respect your opinion and hope that you get a lot of joy / happiness from purchasing and displaying this new Stormtrooper pf.
We all have different opinions and like different things but to me it looks a little strange wearing a singlet-top and when comparing this new one with the old it is very noticeable that one has large black sections viable and one does not.

You may want to consider the xm studios piece that "Shoo" was awesome to help out with a concept drawing.
It would probably be double the price of the ssc one but you get two Stormtroopers, so maybe that works out to be good value in a weird way

Also since your being sarcastic. That's just compounding on to the stupidly sized **** on the front. I've never understood people who seem to not care about the back part. Seems like from what you're saying you'd be just as happy if the statue was sawed in half and the back part is blank. Let SS know, I'm sure they'd love more ways to save money. Sucks for you that you don't have display space where you can't see anything but the front, other people do. It's a 3d representation of a character. Not a ****** front part, and a ****tier back part "cause you can't see it" (*in your display).
