Those are awesome! I have been learning to make GIFs using Photoshop. I don't have Image Ready...

Which PS are you using? I have CS2. Hell I don't even know ho to make them in Photoshop. I do know a little Flash. :chew

If you still have those avatars lying around, put them all up in a post (or two). I will save them and spit out a GIF for you. It's pretty simple if you have Photoshop.

Looks like these figures are rigid enough to stand on their own without support... or were the support stands digitally removed from the photographs?

Yes, they truly are able to stand on their own like that. It does take time, patience, and finesse with some stance between the slightest adjustment can make or break the free-standing pose, but they are possible.
