Hi it's been a while since we had an update list of how much money each person has spent on statue collecting so far. This hobby is very expensive. I only been in 2 months and had to do a lot of back tracking as well as so many new pre orders this year. So how much have you spent up to date so far? This only includes what's in your inventory right now with all the statues you have on preorder already. Not including the ones you want to buy later. I added all mine up last night and was a bit amaze at how much I spent in such a short couple of months. I now have about 15 to 20 SS statues with about 12 coming in paid for preorders. My total so far is 12to 13k already. Wow. I could have bought a new car! I still have about 12 more I need before I slow down on all the older statues. I mean each one is approx 350.00 to 500.00 for the older ones. They add up really fast. Now with hulk and rhino, muggy coming soon. Those are all at close to 450.00 to 500.00 each. So how much have you spent so far? :slap

Ordinarily I would be shocked and advise you to stop. But I've learned that nothing surprises me about people in this hobby anymore. And I realized that if you can spend that much money in two months—and joke about it—then clearly you either have money to burn or you don't have any money left at all. Either way you have nothing to lose, so I'd say, knock yourself out.

I've spent nothing on statues.

Lol with almost 27,000 post I don't believe you. I bet you spent at least 20-35k at least. :wink1: with so much money on so few statues I'm worried about getting a earthquake here again like the one we had last year. It rumble hard here in dc / md my motu classics and transformers Collection all fell to the floor. At the time no statues yet. But if I had these then, well let's just say it would be pretty sad.

He, like a lot of collectors, only goes for the 1/6 scale stuff. It's something I've considered as well since I don't have that many statues either and could probably fund a lot of the 1/6 scale stuff with the money I'd make by selling off my statue collection.

I've never got into 1/6 scales yet. Are those the 12 inch ones? Aren't those pretty expensive as well?

Yeah, they're the articulated figures. They were a little cheaper before, but some of them are getting up there in cost. Statue prices seem to be on the rise too, though.

IMO, Hot Toys or 1/6 figures aren't much cheaper then buying statues. Prices of these are getting out of hand and with higher ES, they aren't really limited.

I say buy what you like. For me 1:4 gives presence. There are no articulation seams which I hate about some of the 12" figures. The fact they don't do comic characters version is also a big detraction. I do own some 12" figures but 95% of my collection are statues.

My only word of advise comicbookguy is don't get too consume on getting everything. There will come in time you will have to make a decision due to space constraints.

You spent $13000 in two months?...

There's more I don't remember them at the moment.
I have a box coming in very 2 -3 days I can't even keep track anymore. At the moment I have no fancy cabinets. No space I just bunch then all together on a big table. They are so crowded that evrytime I move them I almost break something. Got to think about this.

Yes you ate right. I'm thinking about this already. :slap

Yeah, not even taking the money factor into account, I'd have a hard time even trying to find a place to put all those statues you listed in my home. Properly displaying them would be out of the question.

You're spending so much on these fine collectibles, I would think it would be mandatory to display them properly. Invest in some Bestas.
