i'd be afraid to add up my statues, the amount would make me realize i've spent too much

Less than 450$ from figures to statues, and not planning to get whatever I see something I like right away, it's not fair especially if you have kids and wife or someone will get married etc... I started this hobby about a year ago.. so I decide to stick with one theme (batman) and it doesn't mean to get everything from fighres to statues. even if I'm rich. Can't spent my whole mony on statues.

I have a box coming in very 2 -3 days I can't even keep track anymore. At the moment I have no fancy cabinets. No space I just bunch then all together on a big table. They are so crowded that evrytime I move them I almost break something. Got to think about this.

I started collecting both Hot Toys and Sideshow statues in January. I got really lucky and found some hardcore collectors near me with extremely impressive collections who sold me some NIB grails. I have around 30 hot toys, including some of the expensive ones like King Leonidas, Dx02 bats, Dx01 joker, Godfather ex, etc.

As far as statues go, I've purchased Spiderman comiquette ex, Spiderman comiquette, Hulk comiquette ex, Venom com ex, Carnage com ex, IM mark 6 maquette, Warmachine ex, Classic IM ex, Punisher com ex, Gambit pf ex, Captain america pf, green goblin pf, angel com ex, vampirella pf ex, not to mention a zillion other preorders like Skaar pf ex (x2), Joker Pf ex, etc...

I don't even want to think about how much I've spent. I could have likely purchased 2 top tier pinball machines with the cash I've spent.

I'm all for everyone spending on whatever they want....

.....but if you've just entered the hobby and then decided that you must immediatley buy every character statue of anyone you remotely like, konwing you have nowhere to put them.....then its time to step back and take a breath and think about what you're doing and why.

Unless you're an internet billionaire that just it struck it big and now you have too much money to know what to do with ....in which case, I recommend those $15K Star Wars busts....

Yes your right. I promise to never buy a big statue because of price and space. As you can see the bug bit me very badly. It all started when I bought my first SS statue she hulk. The detail and size was stunning. It blew away the Bishoujo and bowens. Since then I'm hooked. I only wished I started a couple of years back. I'm going to try to slow down after getting all the older ones I need. I'm sure there's many here who spent way more than I did. They just have not added.everything up yet.

I probably have a minimum of $8k at any time, I buy and sell pretty frequently to keep things interesting in my collections, about 2 years ago I was easily at over $20k, but my room was way over crowded.

Weeellll.... if you own 300 statues that you can afford to buy, I wouldn't call that stupid. If you own just one statue that you can't afford to buy though...
