Are talking about the occupy wall street people? If so, then no. You'd want to take a taxi or walk to the subway.

So far the con has been good. We've met a few artists. We haven't really purchased anything yet, but we will soon. Just looking around and seeing what we like.

Today my wife will be signing her exclusive cover at Big Dog Ink's booth. I believe it is 2735 almost right below the 2700 sign. It's a corner booth.

The Con has been awesome so far! I picked up a Hot Toys Dog Alien (brand new!) for $200. I also picked up the Life-Size Talking Tina from Entertainment Earth and some other TZ figs. I got an exclusive Hulk and Spider-man set from Hasbro. I saw Kevin Smith and the people of Robot Chicken.

Pictures and more info soon!

Yeah, definitely more crowded, but I wasn't disappointed. I did notice a lot of Dr Who cosplayers though. Interesting how popular it has become, even since last year.

What I did find annoying were the inflated prices vendors were asking for 1/6 figures and other collectibles. They were totally asking top dollar for some that you could probably find for much less with a little patience. I mean, $100 for Belloq? Really?

This was the same at SDCC. I saw a vendor who had the Spike PF for $400, so I asked him if it was the Ex. He laughed at me and said that if was the Ex it would be double the price. Then I laughed at him and told him I got the regular mint for $140 shipped and walked off.

Yeah, even crappy Hasbro 12"ers were priced waaaaaayy higher than they can more easily be had for.

The security wasn't the greatest. Really only the anime festival was tight and they screened everyone for badges.

The show floor was raped. Some people could probably walk in with an expired pass.

This years was nicer in terms of quality stuff. I think a lot more people dressed up this year.

Next year will be great with all the new movies popping up.

Sad! And now that the weekend is over, back to our normal lives.

These conventions should be monthly!

I took my 8YO son on Sunday. They oversell so many tickets it was impossible to take him around the booths. Everywhere we turned I was just trying to get the little guy through wall-to-wall mass of people. I think we will probably pass on attending next year.
