The only hope any of those ot figures have is if they show up in the kenobi and cassian shows. Even that’s a slim slim chance. I have zero faith in hot toys making any figures I really want. There are figures I would buy, but the figures on my wish list are 99%OT and they aren’t happening. I’ll go stick my head in the oven now.

Hux and Poe should of really been done between TFA and TLJ

Small chance we revisit the ST anytime soon with all the shows coming up, along with the random OT/PT/TCW bones they'll throw at us.

I know it’s beating a dead horse, but it really blows my mind how hyped people were at the start of the ST and how much merch was out there…

… And to compare that to now.

There are no Star Wars projects announced during or after the ST era. No games. No shows. There’s zero ST merch I see in stores, only PT, OT, and Mando stuff. Nobody demanding more Rey. No adorable memes for BB8. No excitement for a post-ST story. Nothing. Zilch.

And I imagine an alternate universe where they didn’t screw it all up. Where the ST satisfied - at least on a BASIC level - and makers like HT would be rolling out Zorii Bliss and Poe and Rose figures to eager collectors. Where they could milk Rey and Finn releases as reliably as Luke and Han. Where everyone was tracking down the whole Knights of Ren set like they were the Bad Batch.

But it just… bellyflopped.

And I think every merchandise partner is thanking their Wookie Gods that Mandalorian came out when it did. Friggin’ Kuill and Axe Woves getting figures over prominent ST characters amuses me to no end.

When the TFA Rey thread was bumped up recently I read through a lot of the early pages and up to just after the release of the film, The lightsaber been included with the figure was such a buzz, so many comments loving Rey and BB8 and her potential in the subsequent films.

I mean I don't disagree in general with how I feel about the ST, but Disney has built up Galaxy's Edge and two (really amazing) rides at Disney World and Disneyland. And now a ridiculous expensive hotel experience/ride set in the ST.

I mean I don't disagree in general with how I feel about the ST, but Disney has built up Galaxy's Edge and two (really amazing) rides at Disney World and Disneyland. And now a ridiculous expensive hotel experience/ride set in the ST.

To be fair, those type of plans take YEARS to set up, and were in place with millions committed to their installation and integration before the reception to the ST really kicked in. They were breaking ground over a year before The Last Jedi came out. It would have been inordinately costly to reverse-course at that point.

They certainly haven’t announced any NEW additions since TROS that weren’t already planned out, to my knowledge. Anything we get now would likely be Mandalorian-themed.

There's nothing to do with the ST. Every plot thread has been severed. They burned it to the ground. Even the few cool things they set up were ruined. The Knights Of Ren are literally a leather-clad gang following around a schmuck named Ren who found a lightsaber. No, seriously. That's it. It was all revealed in that Kylo Ren mini from a year or so ago.

I wish we'd have gotten Duel Of The Fates at the very least...

Star Wars is ruined and only a literal retcon will save it. What we have now is the equivalent of knowing that the Age Of Apocalypse is the endgame of all X-Stories, and us dicking around with 30-something Cyclops raising baby Nathan who'll inevitably get killed by Stryfe... Aaaaaaanyhow, I hope the rumours of Sheev in Kenobi are true and that we'll get a proper PT Palpatine out of it. I hope there's lots of PT flashbacks in general, I want the dolls...

I wish I could just meet Abrams and ask him what the hell he was doing. It is so bad, it really does feel like studio interference on some level. It was well reported he was pissed at Ruin for Ep8. I am curious what he had planned for Luke in the second one, but he would end up ripping off ESB and just have him as Yoda. I really like the scrapped plans of them searching for Sith artifacts with concept art of Luke or Rey swimming underwater. Might have been the DS2 on Endor, which should have been disintegrated lol.

I've read the Kenobi leak. Book of Boba Fett was just the beginning.
