Simply false, especially when you consider the extracurriculars of her co-stars. Lucasfilm purposely misinterpreted what she said and then lied about it. If you want to argue whether or not it was in good taste, well that is another thing. But then you have to apply that same logic fairly to everyone else.

It is worth mentioning that Carano was immediately hired by a Jewish man after her dismissal. Pascal on the other hand was far more overt and received no punishment at all.

Thanks for the link - I needed to refresh my memory on the specifics. Yeah, that poor comparison by itself shouldn't have been enough to bring about her dismissal, but she'd obviously rubbed Disney the wrong way with her previous online views. She was perfectly within her rights continuing to (try to) express her views online, but Disney was also within its rights to part ways with her. She's still free to be an actress, just not at the House of Mouse. It sucks for us fans, but these things happen.

Neither did I, she was my least favorite character on the show and I've seen better actors in ****os.

But she definitely will be missed on the Season 1/2 shelves, so I can see why collectors would really want her, especially if we get Greef one of these days.

I thought the 8 or 9 I have on pre-order, along with the 2 I'll wait when it gets closer to release (Fett and Bo) was bad.

Anyone else getting concerned about the amount of preorders piling up? I think I am up to about 20 figures I plan to get or already have preordered!!! Also, some I get multiples of because I am a lunatic and need an intervention. This just adds to the list.

I'm worried as well because were not getting any releases, Rex was just delayed and he was supposed to be our next figure after Kylo, Rey and the Speeder Bike. I don't think the 501 or Shock Troopers will be delayed, but is their a chance Maul and Ahsoka will be delayed as well?

And god knows how many more pre-orders will go up over the summer.

How is Cara Dune disposable? Besides Mando and Grogu she probably has had more screen time than any other character from the show. And she had a great look and was also a female action hero who was actually believable.

I enjoyed her character and I love the idea of Alderaan survivors (some of my favorite of her moments) but her arc was essentially complete. I honestly didn?t even notice or care about the controversy until the end of the season and before I knew it she kept pushing so far and got fired in a politically volatile climate (end of 2020/early 2021). I own her merchandise and would buy a HT but the time has passed for her role in SW for better or worse. I think Grogu force choking her is a funny inside joke now since she?s the only cast member to get fired.

Did she bring anything that was specific to her character? Like, her being from Alderaan, did that have any impact on how things unfolded? She certainly helped the story along but that had nothing to do with her character. Ok, maybe her being a shock trooper added something.

I'm saying Dune was disposable in regards to the Mando series. Kuiil and IG-11 were the same, unique looks in several episodes playing integral parts...and they were still disposable, they killed them both off to serve the story. I'm on about Dune's character and backstory and how it didn't drive the series forward or is needed for the Mando show to progress. It seems like Bo-Katan and the dark saber are the things driving the story now. Rangers though, yeah that's a whole different story.

Action figures sales have been declining for years though, haven't they? Kids are spending more time playing video games and posting online rather than playing with action figures, and time is a fixed commodity.

The explosion of 'toys' and merchandize from TV/movies/pop culture items is directly a result of boomers and xers growing up and seeking out their nostalgia. Hot Toys doesn't make these figures for kids -- they make them for adults that have the expendable cash. When the boomers and xers are gone, likely too will be the pop culture toys and merchandise based on TV and movies that those generations grew up on. Millennials and Z will have their own fond memories to mine, and probably a smaller part of that will be movies to make room for gaming and other online experiences they all grew up with.

Yeah it seems insane to build a massive Star Wars theme park and ignore classic SW settings like the Cantina, the Death Star and Jabba's Palace. There's so much you could have done with those environments. And jeez what a ride the Hoth battle would have made.

I'm not much of a PT fan but I could see the pod race as a fun ride too.

I think people who have not actually visited the parks may be jaded in their opinions.

Most of the park just feel SW. it?s does not specifically feel ST. I felt all three trilogies were present in the designs and It only played to the ST in a few areas.

The PT was the least represented.

Rise of the Resistance, although based on the ST characters and story, did not really feel overtly ST to me. More of a general SW adventure. There is no way in hell any OT or PT era actor likeness will ever be in GE. I just don?t think it?s possible for Disney for some reason. Some kind of contract thing. It?s not that they don?t want to do it, I think they cannot do it.

The only OT or PT references are ships and droids.

Believe me if it were legally possible, they would have done it.

Also , what?s the HT ratio lately of live actor sculpts compared to helmet and non human face sculpt?

I know they always have favored non human sculpts , since they don?t have to pay for the likeness.......

IMO this is a huge factor for them, far beyond OT PT ST arguments.
