I really don't understand this sudden favoritism for Cara Dune, she is a easily disposable character, it is because the actress was a Trump supporter and got fired by Disney?

How is Cara Dune disposable? Besides Mando and Grogu she probably has had more screen time than any other character from the show. And she had a great look and was also a female action hero who was actually believable.

I don't see what point you are trying to make? She was in several episodes that were very important to the series(including Luke's internet breaking return, I'm sure KK loves that) and was a very charismatic actress. She played a part and had a look that was very unique which made her stand out. Favreau is on record saying he wrote the part specifically for Gina Carano which is probably why they had to cancel an entire damn show over her dismissal.

Cara Dune the character received pretty much universal praise in both season 1 and 2. Part of it was her design, she had a really cool look. Part of it was her backstory, an Alderaan survivor with a chip on her shoulder against anything Empire related. But most of it was that she was actually believable as a brawler, because while she's not ugly, she's not some model looking superhero that's beautiful and never gets a scratch. In real life, Gina was an MMA fighter for years and in the show she was a Rebel soldier with a ton of combat experience. Her whole character made sense from top to bottom.

I don't think people really knew she was a Trump supporter until she got famous for the role after season 1. Her popularity might have grown when conservatives learned she was one of them, but it didn't cause her popularity.

Definitely. I?ll never sell my Star Wars stuff. MCU isn?t quite ?never sell? but it is close. I don?t usually spend this much but I look at it as a perfect time to really put a big dent in completing my collection. I don?t see a lot of 1/6th figures releasing in the next 5-10 years that will have me dedicated enough to spend big like this again. Not really interested in collecting the next phase(s) of Marvel (really only GOTG3 if I like it as much as the first two, perhaps a new Thor from Thor 4, and possibly Far From Home if rumors are true and Hot Toys go deep in the line). I don?t love F4 or X-Men enough to spend like this again or even collect it at the 1/6th scale. So MCU collection is nearly done. Need a few A1 figures and Endgame figures still. After that I?ll have a complete A1, Infinity War, Endgame, GOTG lineup. I might go back and complete an AOU collection or grab some more Iron Man stuff, but that day is far far far away. Star Wars OT collection I?m very content with. I have ANH Luke/Han/Leia/Chewbacca/C-3PO/R2/Kenobi, Vader, 4 Stormtroopers, Palpatine and Royal Guards, Jedi Luke, Boba, ESB Yoda and Hut, then on PO Lando/Snowspeeder Luke. I?m very happy with that to be the end of my OT collecting days. I would probably grab a X-Wing Pilot like Wedge if they ever released it, a Hot Toys Dewback with Sandtrooper, HT C-3PO, Dagobah Luke and R2, Bespin Luke/Han and Chewbacca with C-3PO (which would result in me buying Bespin Leia), maybe the ESB Bounty Hunters, a HT Wampa or Taun Taun, Hoth Han/Luke (which would result in me buying Hoth Leia), Ackbar, Endor Han (which would result in me buying Endor Leia), Anakin/Kenobi/Yoda Jedi Spirits. I don?t see any of that releasing in the next couple of years though if at all. PT/TCW stuff I buy everything regardless of who or what it is, have everything from HT either on my shelf or on order, and a lot from SSC (all the Jedi, Padme, Battle Droids, Asajj Ventress, Grievous, Rex, Fives, Echo plus various clones I don?t have the space to display). So whatever HT releases from PT/TCW I?ll always collect it. Mando I have mostly everything on the shelf or on order too. Only thing I passed on was S1 Mando, which was foolish, but thankfully he is being re-released. Outside of 1/6 I have 1000+ 3.75? Star Wars figures and vehicles, 800 Funko POPs, 1000+ WWE figures (which I may sell all of these) and around 1000 Marvel/DC figures 6?/7? figures. Not everything is displayed though.

It's all relative to how much money you make and what your expenses are. HT are cheap compared to a lot of other hobbies. Some people go deep into Prime One. Some people collect cars. Some travel all around to exclusive golf courses.

Yeah. I?m still young, don?t have kids (yet), have no real expenses or debt. Now is the time for me to collect before more important matters arise.

I'm saying Dune was disposable in regards to the Mando series. Kuiil and IG-11 were the same, unique looks in several episodes playing integral parts...and they were still disposable, they killed them both off to serve the story. I'm on about Dune's character and backstory and how it didn't drive the series forward or is needed for the Mando show to progress. It seems like Bo-Katan and the dark saber are the things driving the story now. Rangers though, yeah that's a whole different story.

I'm pretty sure Ducky meant Yoda's hut dio. Get the Sideshow Jabba. HT probably won't make Jabba's throne and even if they did there is a high likelihood that they would make Jabba himself out of some type rubber that would fail. Go to the life size Grogu thread and read about all the sad people who didn't heed the warnings.

I'm ever tempted by the new one but I'm recklessly holding out for HT.

The problem is that Boba is specifically shown as the "new Jabba" literally sitting on his throne so my guess is the Hutt HT will make will be the obligatory "other Jabba" the show will have to include as one of Boba's key rivals (as I mentioned, my guess is it'll be that female Jabba that's canon, because she's on Tatooine in ROTJ era and she's well... female)

So we'd get "a" Hutt from HT, not "the" Hutt. Like we got "a" scout/bike, not "the" scout/bike.

And besides, with BOBF debuting in December, in the best case scenario (like if Jabba himself is somehow a character) a HT Hutt might be previewed mid next year and ship maybe mid 2023. Life is just too short to be waiting 3, 5, 7 or more years for "HT to do him."

I mean HT DID eventually do a Luke Snowspeeder but you could have had a really quite nice Luke Snowspeeder from SSC displayed on your shelf in the meantime - for FIVE YEARS (that shipped mid 2017, HT Luke Snowsp is mid 2022.) And at least Luke Snowsp is well within the wheelhouse of HT as a hero - Jabba really isn't (though yeah gonk droid shows you can never tell, and maybe the Blurrg shows a HT appetite for large creatures, though probably not.)

I decided long ago not to go with the small folded card reading "hoped-for HT figure coming soon to this space" sitting in the empty Detolf for years.

Talibane, yes, you are right... I should just get the SS Jabba and be done with it. But I'm going to have to accrue a hell of a lot of reward points for me to buy from Sideshow -- and now Sideshow only allows you to accrue for a year. Given the problems, I hesitate to buy anywhere else. If I can get to $300 plus in points, I will consider SS Jabba. As long as nothing more immediate and tasty arrives before.

Could happen sooner than some might think if Kennedy gets ousted this year. Favreau is the master of keeping secrets. Imagine if Cara Dune makes a surprise return to the show? The internet would explode.

I really enjoyed the Cara Dune character and I've always found Carano to have a certain charm as an actress (despite her limited range/talent). But she was the architect of her own demise. Favreau should just move on already and recast her.

Simply false, especially when you consider the extracurriculars of her co-stars. Lucasfilm purposely misinterpreted what she said and then lied about it. If you want to argue whether or not it was in good taste, well that is another thing. But then you have to apply that same logic fairly to everyone else.

And again, Favreau created the part SPECIFICALLY for her. I doubt he wants to recast, as the Rangers show cancellation would indicate.
