Sounded like Lurtz was far away. Still really hoping they surprise us and announce Haldir or Eowyn as many people have been wanting this year.

Firmly desire Thranduil WITH the throne, and some more dwarves. Guess Thorin in battle armor with that raven head sword is too much to hope for.

Kinda feel like except for Bilbo (if he comes with Bag End) and another Legolas, for me I have enough LOTR. Unless ranger Aragorn is re-released as a Crown figure.
Eowyn would be nice.

Between owning some WETA stuff, and nervously wondering what the Amazon Middle Earth series might bring $$$$ (and don't know if ASMUS has that license or if the series will be any good, tho I suspect everyone will be interested in Mairon/Sauron) - just don't wanna overload the shelves.

I wish ASMUS would do Dwalin, he'd be so much fun to work on, and you could do a switchout portrait with that awesome mohawk look.

It’s not that all elves will have short hair, it’s that some will. I’m guessing background elves mostly. And we don’t know how relatively short it will be, if it’s barely shoulder length or to the nape of neck like Aragorn or Boromir that’s still longish but short for what we usually saw for Third Age elves.

Most likely Crown Series Gandalf the White. He is 100% 2nd Crown Series figure - Confirmed.

Saruman was not confirmed to be even in development. Lurtz is too hard to develop so who know if they dont cancel him, hope not.

It was confirmed multiple times by Asmus that they do not want to announce GTW before ALL the batches of the Gandalf the Grey are distributed to the customers. It makes perfect business sense because there might be some collectors who would cancel or not buy Gandalf the Grey if they see Gandalf the White announced ... or some collectors are out of money and can not currently afford to pre-order another Crown Series figure.

As a company, you do not want to release products at the same time if they compete with each other.

Fabric sourcing and production may be another issue. ASMUS is careful about scale and fabric - it's one of the reason I bought Galadriel, they worked hard to get the right gown fabric.

Covid messed a lot of things up.

I don't believe Asmus has confirmed what will be 3rd Crown Figure, did they? I would love it to be Saruman.

It’ll probably be Saruman, but given Gandalf the White won’t even start production for several more months, the third Crown figure reveal is probably a long way away.
