It would be awesome to have the chase to the ford set up but 9 wraiths and 10 horses (plus arwen if you want the movie scene instead of the book).

That's the one hard thing--Ringwraiths will be fantastic figures, but man--you gotta have the horses! It's just such a huge part of the story. I think that would be the Jabba equivalent in this line--a 1:6 masterfully done Black Rider with his horse fully detailed and accessorized. That could be incredible.

every time i watch that i can only count 8 wraiths. at least in that wide shot.

hmmm i never counted before but there should have been a group of 4 and a group of 5 if you go by the book maybe one of the wraiths had a really slow or out of shape horse?

i just checked it out. i only see 8. at the wide shot where the wraiths form a U shape behind arwen. at 1hr 21min 24sec on the extended cut. someone better tell PJ before the anniversary edition comes out.

I remember that in the beggining of the scene first there were 8 wraiths an then the 9 appears later in the woods.

well in his defense there were a lot of trees around plus with the sound of running water i mean who could hold and who would have thought the other eight couldn't catch one hoobit.

There are nine in the pic but one on the left is hard to see, and two in the middle are also hard to distinguish between. Helps to count hoods and horses.

I really hope they don't start repeating characters already; we only have six so far. Besides, King Elessar is an armored character, and I don't know if they're ready for that just yet.

That silhouette on the B&W page looks like the true form WitchKing, and the podcast had a whole thing on it.

Now as far as 1/6th, I'm still thinking Gandalf... if we get another LOTR announcement besides the bust.

I totally disagree with you on that one Ed. The Witchking in true form would be the perfect figure for Sideshow to make (Unimonsters, the dead... it would awesome)... but I would still prefer Fellowship characters first and Saruman or Wormtongue second.

and yeah, we can pretty much bet the Shire that Gandalf the Grey is next. Thanks goodness!
