Between the "shades of gray" hint and the picture we've already seen of him, a 1:6 :gandalf is a lock. Anything else I'm afraid is just a fool's hope. I just want Gandalf to come with both of his staves and maybe the dragon firework as an exclusive.

Still, it'd be nice if a :saruman also made an appearance as it'd fit the whole good/evil black/white theme. But at the rate this line is coming out they wouldn't give us another 2 pre-orders at the same time, not just after Frodo & Sam right?

When we do get to that point, the villain I want first is Saruman, then a Nazgul. I would love the order to go

Gandalf the Grey,
Saruman the White,
Merry and Pippen
Gimli
Ringwraith

and then anything else after that.

personally the only nazgul i want is Angmar with his helmet and giant mace. that would be a sweet figure.

They still have armor on under those robes, but only the legs and arms are really seen. A Morgul Lord would really only be some added parts. I hope he'd atleast be on a bigger body. And give the Ringwraith all the swords that were used.

If you think about it, Nazgul really don't need armor because they weren't 100% in the "middle-earth" world. but anyway, I can't imagine someone getting 9 of them, but I'm sure somebody here would.

They just need to make two versions. One, the ringwraith, is the generic costume with all of the different swords so you can either choose one or buy a bunch while keeping them distinct. The Witch-King would only come with his own sword, his dagger, and his massive flail, plus additional armor. I'm more excited for the regular ones though just because those are some of my favorite scenes from FOTR, especially Weathertop and the flight to the ford.

The Morgul Lord would come with both his regular sword and a "flaming" sword. They can use clear orange/red plastic molded as flame, similar to what is used with the 12" lightsabers. Would look fantastic.

Ringwraith is a must. I can see a few fanatics picking up "9".

I can also see a Witch King in true form painted with glow-in-the-dark paints.

I would buy one Witch King and 2 generic wraiths. (Is that JRR I hear rolling in his grave over my use of the term "generic")

I want GtG and Saruman next. After that Gimli, the eight Nazgul and the Morgul Lord. Merry and Pippin are must-haves along with Bilbo and Elrond. Galadriel, Ewoyn and Arwen would be great but that's just hoping for too much!

the question is will sideshow let us buy 9 of em?

they should make a two pack Ringwraith/morgul lord. i kinda like this two figs at once idea. frodo/sam, palp/emperor. i little hard on the wallet maybe but my collection grows twice as fast.

That, or it's me walking over to smack you upside the head, blasphemer! :emperor

:rotfl Just kidding Pix. :D But man, imagine having five wraiths posed around the four hobbits like at Weathertop--a huge but AMAZING display, and so amazingly iconic! Man, all of a sudden I really, REALLY wanna get the Nazgul now . . . I need to slow down or else I'll die waiting.

did i miss a picture of ssc's gtg? or are the references to it an inside joke of some kind?

Some keen-eyed freaks noticed what appears to be a 1:6 Gandalf the Grey figure in some photos taken in the Sideshow offices. Sideshow has yet to confirm this, yet all evidence seems to point to the validity of the claim. Pray the hypotheses are true.

I always loved that scene in the book and movie. I remember when I first read it I was around 8 years old and it was late at night and I couldn't put it down. It was a scary night.

the scene i always remebered from the book was when the hobbits were hiding under the tree and the wraith was sniffing them out. beautifully executed by peter jackson in the film i might add. but i absolutely love the scene at buckleberry ferry when that wraith stops short on the end of the dock then he turns around and rides up the road and those other 2 wraith's ride past him before he turns the corner.

That's the one hard thing--Ringwraiths will be fantastic figures, but man--you gotta have the horses! It's just such a huge part of the story. I think that would be the Jabba equivalent in this line--a 1:6 masterfully done Black Rider with his horse fully detailed and accessorized. That could be incredible.
